I would like to meet Jackie Robinson. I think he would be facinating to talk to.... Since Ali has been mentioned a few times in this thread, I will just mention my brief, but memorable meeting with him. Downtown Denver 1980. I spotted an advertisement in the local paper that he would be at a nearby bookstore to sign autographs. I walked there at lunch, and waited in the bookstore. He arrived in a three piece suit, and just looked like an amazing physical specimen. I stood next to him and did not even get an autograph. I was just mesmerized by his presence. I was snapped out of it quick though, as the people started to get pushy and a little to demanding ,and next thing I know he is running out of the place and heading for his Rolls Royce as the mob is chasing him. Kind of like a scene from "A Hard Day's Night". It got out of hand so quickly. No security of course. I do not think anything like that would even be attempted today.
