Arnies swing looks like it took alot of effort. That follow thru never changed in his career. He swings like some of the 65+ seniors at the local club.

Dont' recall Elkington's swing much. Has he ever won anything?

I recall he won the PGA championship in 1995. His problem has always been injuries. I've always considered him to be the guy I'd point to if someone asked my how a golf swing should look. Compact with perfect balance.

100 % accurate post..

he has battled all kinds of injuries , allergies and infectious diseases...

he said winning the pga was the best major to win . because the trophy would hold the most alcohol..

but seriously though..... TPC twice and PGA. That answered my question. Been a while though, closing in on a decade. He's old school.

i think either woods , ogilvy or tim clark will win .

ogilvy is 2 solid rounds away from superstar status ..

that boy can flat out play..

Agreed Ogilvy can play. I remember him at the match play early in the season. I think he was a dog to Love in the final pairing. His swing is relaxing, and I was relaxed cashing that bet.

I agree on the T. Clark bet. Although he's starting at 5 under, he's definitely a good pick at 80:1. One of 2 I picked besides Tiger.

Sam Snead
Gene Littler
Colin Mongomerie (most consistent solid ball striking swing as measured by today's devices according to an article in a recent Golf Digest--not even close, 2nd was Johnny Miller)

My prior post was 3 bets imho.

My three favorites are Price, Sergio, Watson--all quick tempo like mine years ago.

Without a doubt:

Woods

I've been playing and watching golf since Arnie's glory days.

Woods is the best by far. No one else even close. Including Nicklaus in his heyday.

Littler for a classic swing.

Johnny Miller for his irons.

Tiger definitely has the moneymaker swing no doubt, but in terms of simplicity would you still pick Tiger? He's a true phenom. I know L. Donald must have been saying to himself "damn, what do I have to do?" When he birdied 5 out of 9 of the front holes, and went bogey free on the back with more birdies, only to be passed by Tiger when he started a stroke behing him!!! Incredible. That's what it means to be the best for sure.

Tiger really has a relatively simple swing when he doesn't try to overhit his driver. His irons and fairway woods are made with a simple controlled swing.
