What are you Yanks saying about the Osama tape?

Without even waiting for the translators, I figured that there was no way this tape could help Kerry (short of being a reminder that he's still out there, but that's not exactly news.) But anything that reminds voters of the 'war on terrorism' (malarky) is always good for Bush.

So, not being privvy to the mumblings on American streets, what're people saying about the tape? Is it affecting voters' decisions at all?

I haven't really followed what the news outlets have been saying. Personally, I don't know if it was taped last week or 10 months ago. He could have mentioned some half-a$$ current events like his comrade did in order to lend credence to it being more recent (at least for me). For all I know there could be 10 Osama tapes with Edwards or Sharpton or Dean or whomever mentioned in the body. I know with the English tape they went ape but it's getting to the point where these tapes are jading me. Money talks and bull$hit walks!

I backed Kerry and this had no effect on me whatsover and I think that holds for the majority of voters

Chris Matthews on Dateline showed poll results that basically showed that 64% of public don't think it affects how they vote.

It was like 24% more likely to vote for Bush and 12% more likely to vote for Kerry.

I would like to hear or see a translation of the WHOLE tape. Anyone know where this can be obtained. I would like to know everything he said. I don't understand why this is being censored, if he is recruiting so what, every tape he puts out is a recruiting tool. How can anyone have an opinion on something until they see or hear all of it.

OBL offered a truce to US states that vote against Bush, of course this is not being reported. The tape helps Bush, most Americans will not pay much attention to what OBL said the fact he's alive means terrorism is real and not a Rove made up phenom.

The fact that he is still alive means bush didn't do his job. This guy indirectly killed 3000 people. How is bush protecting us when this guy is still out making videos and recruiting? Only in the twisted NeoClown mind where up is down, war is peace and 2+2=5 is this any help to bush.

In a killing contest between bush and bin laden bush wins hands down, I wasn't argueing that. What I'm saying is HOW does the FACT that bin laden is still free to make videos a plus for the shrub?

In my opinion the most disturbing thing about the tape is how great Bin Laden has the Michael Moore talking points down. He even referenced Bush sitting in the classroom on the morning of 9/11. In my opinion, Bin Laden is trying to drum up more anti-Bushism right before the election to sway more votes for Kerry. This might sound crazy to some, but think about it from this perspective: you are a criminal mastermind evading authorities; would you rather have someone chasing you who obviously will stop at nothing to hunt and kill terrorists, and has almost completely disbanded your gang, or would you rather have the guy who's gonna ask the rest of the world's opinion before taking action, and considers you and your gang a "nuisance?" When you think about it, Bin Laden is obvously licking his chops hoping for a Kerry win.
