I said the same thing to myself when someone mentioned this earlier. $30k seems to be about the norm, and that's with shitty hours to boot on weekends and nights till 8 or 9. sure, a few will make $45-50k, but with the hours they work etc, it's still shit.
45-50K at an easy job with no cold calling.......I wouldn't call that shit.

Working till 9 at night, and almost every Saturday or Sunday is shit. and $45-50k is the norm now. shit shit shit

I'm not trying to clown on it. The job I will have to settle for when it comes soon will pay less than that. I'm just sayin...

I don't think the standard of living in this country is going anywhere but down for the rest of our lives. We are in serious trouble.

Yes, we are. Another reason why I'm struggling. Folks making 60-80k that used to make 150-250k etc. Those folks are beating me out for jobs no doubt.

Let's not forget these folks making 50k also owe twice that in Student Loans, myself included. Student Loan payments equal my mortgage. throw in forbearance, and I'm screwed and extra 10 years on top of 10 years already. A lot of folks in the same boat. We're screwed.

Good luck finding one MM. I have one, but been looking for over a year. Pretty damn hard to find anything over $50K.

Car sales can be feast or famine. Cell phones you won't make shit. Medical device, capital equipment or pharma, as Falls stated.

Car sales can be good money. I know a few people in that field. Money management during the good and bad times will get you by.

I agree with shdw. Come up with a real, real good reason for having not worked in a year.

I honestly wish you the best, as you seem like good people.

Thanks man! And you can say that again. I had a place that wouldn't even take my app because I've made more than that before. It's like discrimination is now legal too. Lol

im ready to settle for just about anything now, but like stated, I get discriminated on for all the wrong reasons. Giving the opp, they will find out real quick they got great talent for cheap, and I'm looking for a career as well if it presents itself. Damn sure know I don't want to go through this mess again...

My brother sells cars and has since he was 18. now in his mid 40's. Makes 6 figures also and loves it. Wouldn't do anything else. No way in hell I could do it.
Really? I can't think of an easier product to sell. A tangible, visible product that they came knocking on your door to take a look at. Just have your brother get you on and give it a shot. I know a complete jerk off that makes 6 figures. I know it might not be what you want to do, but why not just give it a go? Nothing to lose.

Great job yesterday emailed me and said "I have one question for you, have you worked since May 2013?". Saying No and they quit communicating.

I am going to change up my resume this weekend to include working for the 501c3 volunteer group that I foster cats and do most of the social media and adoption events for them. I talked to our Director, and she is game to bee my top work reference. This shit ain't easy too. The last 3 weeks since we saved a hoarding and animal cruelty situation, I have worked harder than I ever have at any paying job. The boat wouldn't float without me, and she will testify to that.
Just tell them you've been trading stocks, and it hasn't worked out like you had hoped. Say you are ready to move on and get back into the working world.

You would be an idiot to give your 2 weeks notice without having another job lined up. Are you a financial advisor or a wealth management banker? Those people have the most stressful job I know.

It's not the product, it's the approach they use. I'm a no haggle guy. If they would let me figure out every car on the lot and make the money both of us are happy with then I could do that, but they won't. And don't say carmax as their cars are way overpriced. I just don't like the thought of screwing someone over. I'm good at buying cars and don't like feeling like I'm taking advantage of someone. I don't even buy cars from my brother because I've always gotten a better deal elsewhere even with the "family discount". Imagine that.

Well it's somewhat true anyways. A few stocks have kept me afloat for sure.

If you are willing to move to louisiana I could get you an easy job making 65k a year or a hard job(to start) making close to 100k not counting ot in the oil business.

Youre lifestyle would take on some radical changes.

For instance you would go offshore in a helicopter for 7 days then come home for 7 days.

So every other week you would be away from home but you would also get a 1 week vacation every other week to.

I think I remember you live in north Caralina.

There are people who do this that work that far on a 14 and 14 schedule.

Its exactly like the 7 day I mentioned above except its 14.

This makes it easier for people like you with long drives.

Now you have to decide. Do you want the easy money at 65k or do you want to take on the hard job for 100k?

The good part about the hard job is if you prove yourself over a 4 or 5 year period the job gets easy and the pay goes up even more.

If you take the easy job for 65k 10 years from now you might be lucky if you are making 75k.

Lots of things to weigh.

PM me if interested

However, highly unlike you land one of this jobs in two weeks.

Yeah...I forgot to finish with that...no way you even get one of those jobs without knowing someone. Unless he is a 24-28 yr old she and smoking...

The guys I know...in private wealth...work about 3 days a week and pull over 200.
Sure it probably sucked at first.

I completely get what you are saying. I worked in sales in several capacities, and it was difficult to try to do what's right all the time, and still make a living. I would worry that they could buy the same policy elsewhere but for cheaper. But hypermorality never got anyone anywhere, so I quit thinking like that. I could never have sold cars at one time, but I could now. People make their own decisions, and if two parties agree on a transaction, there is no reason to worry about anything more than that. I also believe that most people can't be helped. If they overpay on a car, the small amount of money they could have saved by buying it elsewhere would have just been spent on meaningless shit anyway. I don't think I could go sell timeshares, lol, but cars, insurance, no problem.
