For those that are mathematically inclined, what is the statistical probability of producing such a result.

I believe $1,000 would become around $255,000.

Oddly enough, $1,000 with 8 wagers at -110 would yield around $175,000.

For the second example, are the odds about 250-1 of producing success?

1:255 ?

Is this for a parlay of 8 consecutive -110 bets?
Or is this for methodically generating 100% profit weekly for 8 consecutive weeks?

Unless you have some extra value, the rule of thumb is: chances=invest/winnings
It's not important how you tried to make that winnings... 8 parlay or 16 singles or one big swing at sandler winning oscar.. :)

That is why finding value in odds is so important..

define 100% profit?

I won 8 (maybe just 7) consecutive weeks last Jan & Feb before having a losing week in March, but I would not call it 100% profit

I just mean doubling each week.

100 -- 200
200 -- 400
400 -- 800
800 -- 1600 and etc, etc for 8 straight weeks

then yes, it's kinda what I did with CBB in 2014

and when I'm on a run, I bet more so if I keep winning I'm winning more

but 2015 is off to "a much slower start" :neenee:

PS: my streak would look a lot more like the numbers I just quoted (a little better), and nothing like the numbers in your OP

I would disagree, omg.

A parlay of 8 straight bets is not the same. Another way to pose the question might be: What are the odds for a trader to produce 100% profits each year for 8 straight years? And: What are the odds of a trader selecting 8 straight investments where his money is at least doubled on each pick?

Are you trying to make $200 from $100 then $400 from $200 and do that 8 times? If so, then odds are the same as if you go with 8 parlay and put $100 on it...
However, if you are talking about systematic gambler, who has some kind of edge and appropriate investing plan, then it all depends on many parameters ... (It can be summed up as: how often does he guess a coin flip?, how many time will he play that bet?)
For example:
If he has 55% on coin flip bet odds (+100) then with Kelly staking single plays he'll need to play 140 bets to double up his starting capital.
On the other hand, if he has 65%, and plays 8 games at the same time (in system 3 out of 8, because that is most profitable to do with 65% average..) and invests for maximization, he will need only two described systems to double up. Of course there is variance to be accounted for, but that's another story..
Hope this helps a bit..
