Now I said earlier that I hate fiction.

I had one little 3 or 4 year run when I was in high school where I fell in love with John Grisham.
Because when I was in 9th and 10th gradish I thought I wanted to go to law school. LOL

Anyway Grisham was great except for one thing.

He did not know how to end a story.
That always disappointed me.

If the book had 30 chapters I loved the first 29 and hated the 30th.
Of the 9 or 10 Grisham books I have read they were all like that.

He never could figure out how to end a story.

For Sci Fi fantasy fans love the ongoing series by George RR Martin that the HBO series Game of Thrones is based upon. In the same vein, I really enjoyed the Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay. For crime fans Michael Connely is pretty good. Loved Mystic River by Lehane. Growing up loved Steinbeck. Read Catcher in the Rye numerous times - interested to see when Salinger's stuff starts coming to market what that will bring. I have read Unbroken and it is one amazing story given that it's true! Jo Nesbo is pretty good for Scandinavian crime/mystery.

strange you're such a reader when i have to withdraw into "see spot run" mode just to stay with the tone and pace of your posts.

when you said non-fiction only i figured you mean the autobiography of Dale Murphy ;)
