ive never quite understood how the bills have gone down as chokers, specifically the game against the giants. for all the 'wide right' stuff, youd think norwood missed a 31 yard field goal or something similar to a chip shot. it was a mid 40s field goal. he just pushed it. simple as that. and they also got beat by some good teams in their super bowl years.

if teams are going to go down as 'chokers' for missing field goals, then it sure as hell deserves to be the florida state football program against miami.

cleveland indians could certainly go down as chokers as well. mesa gagged one inning away from a title. indians also blew a 3-1 series lead against boston during a year in which they had another realistic shot of winning the world series.

The Washington State Cougars... (with emphasis on football)

The term "couged" is not used when WSU wins like it would at most schools. But, rather for all the losses by this team after gaining the lead.

I'd go with Philly in all major sports. Their last championship was a long long time ago.

Cannot argue with your statement about my teams, except for the Eagles....it has been since 1980 for any championship...

The term "Couging it" is on wikipedia too isn't it? Anyways, I would agree in football. It served true a couple of years ago when we blew good sized leads to Oregon, Oregon State, and Cal all in the same year. I've also heard the term used to coin WSU games where they lose to the worse team or when something big is on the line but they fall short. Either way, it's a term that I hate. :smoker2:

As far my chokers, you have to include the Cubs for baseball and I'd like to nominate Acie Law IV because of that atrocious miss against Memphis. I still can't believe he did that...
