Northern Iowa has won 7 straight in this matchup. They have strong road wins at Creighton and Southern Illinois. Why is Evansville a 4 point favorite here?

No. Iowa played tough at Iowa earlier in the year and were down 7 with under 4 minutes left. Now Iowa isn't a great team this year yet they did play them tough.

Is there any injury that I am missing here. I feel the wrong team is favored here.

evansville is 10-0 at home... not saying they will cover, but that is why they are favored

I was reading about how Evansville has some crucial match-ups coming up and really could use a win here as insurance in case they screw up in the next couple games. Their top shooter is also apparently primed to break out a recent slump. That and the fact that they're undefeated at home = strong lean on Evansville for me. I don't follow Evansville at all so take that for what it's worth.

I'm not gonna bet on this game simply because I don't bet on teams that I've never watched, but I actually researched this game for some reason and I think Evansville is actually worth a look tonight.

my first glance i automatically thought evansville. much better team. lot stronger at home. not high on no iowa at all. they will have no answer to evansville's backcourt with ely and holsinger. i think they get the cover

That is true. It is something that I haven't added to my capping as of yet. I just find this an extremely head scratching line when you take into account how well No. Iowa has played on the road this year and the fact that No. Iowa has dominated this series at home and on the road.

I have to go with my capping on this one.

No Iowa +4.5

I'm probably going to be on Evansville...

Solid team that just flat out doesn't lose at home. Also haven't exactly been beating up on cupcakes, as they are 49th in the nation in strength of schedule. No denying Northern Iowa is playing well right now, but i'm pretty sure it comes to an end tonight. I like Evansville by about 10.

According to my math model Evansville has no problem in this game winning by 12.

Evansville 72
Northern Iowa 60
