Why is Pitt -7.5?

Maybe the oddsmakers are wanting the bettors to load up on the +7.5?
They are usually pretty smart. But I do see your point IndyMike.
Any chance S. Fl can win this game outright? Them +7.5 points are tempting eh. :think2:

take it from me...pitt is TERRIBLE this year. they are incredibly painful to watch. our bigs are soft, making the guards gun the ball constantly. usf plays great defense. this game is very tricky, i'm not even sure why it's 7.5....

Such a bad year for Pitt. I think oddsmakers still give the Pitt name some credit when putting lines out there and on the other hand dont give the USF name the credit they deserve for the year they have had.

I watched the first game between these 2 clubs 10 days ago and USF was bigger, longer, and more athletic in the first meeting and just because the venue is changing those tangibles wont.

I by no means would unload on USF, but there is no way in hell you can be serious about asking pitt to beat any team in the big east by 8+ points right now the way they are playing.
