Have you ever taken both sides of the same game? Just not the favorite by 1?
i.e. Today
Florida +135
Philadelphia - 1.5 +140
Bet $100 on each side. If FLA wins, you net $35, if Phil wins by 2 or more, you net $40, if Phil wins by 1, you're screwed -$200. But I've played it 20-30 times this year, and I'm up a few hundred. I really like it when the action is on the over (especially w/ weaker pitchers). And there aren't many games/day that have a good balance like the one above. Plus, American League action seems better b/c of the DH.
When I lose (10%-20% of the time), I may double up on my next one... and pray for dear life!
Another decent play today may be:
Detroit (Robertson) +130
Chicago (Floyd) -1.5 +135
Over/under is 10.5
I realize it's a lot of risk for a small reward, but probability of hitting is extremely high. I'm somewhat of a rook, just wondering what some of you experts may think....
