I ususally post up using Western Union and I've never had a problem...Someone a couple of days ago or so said that if you try to wire more than 3 grand or so they'll make you fill out an IRS form. Is that true? Is there a magic number? I always get paid via check, kept under 5 gs always. Any thoughts?

What is an IRS form? When did WU start doing this for transactions over 3k?

With all due respect for the "threads", WU can do whatever they want at any time. Who is to say that ALL Western Unions do the SAME procedures everywhere.

There has got to be a better way!

Western union is becoming a less and less attractive way to fund and collect. Guess that is what the sytsem is looking for.

The General - I agree. It's just making NETeller look even better.

Try PrePaid ATM or the Flex Card that BetPanAm offers seems an interesting alternative.

(I think Prepaid and Flex card use the same system?)

I have my doubts about the future of neteller as well, but no facts, just a hunch.

That's very upsetting General, for without Neteller OR something extremely similiar-I see no place to turn.
Certaintly not WU. As Leno says, it does not matter about the amount. No one wants the hassle!!

General, your doubts about the future of neteller are troubling indeed. Might you share on what you base your hunch?

Mr. Jones,

Do not look to much into it please. No facts have been presented. If the bill is passed to stop money transfers to/from books, there is no question IMO that Neteller will feel the heat even though in Canada.
