i went to send money today and they wanted to know everthing about me...1)they needed to know my social security#...2)then my occupation and 3)how long i've been working at my job....they didn't think it was funny when i told them i sold drift wood for a living...actually, i don't think the clerk understood my humor because she said to me with a serious voice.."and how long have you been doing this for sir"...i asked her why she needed all this info and she said western union requires it...then it took about 2 hours and three calls to western union to clear my money..it's out of hand

IT IS SAD.

only way to avoid all of that is to keep it under a dime.

downthestretch- First off, let me welcome you to the RX.
Yes, WU is getting more and more into gathering more personal information. Seems to differ from location to location, and State to State. May I ask what State you are from?

Our only hope is new innovations like the Flex Card. We need to create funding methods faster than our deficient govennment can destroy them.

the better way would be if all books can send someone to pick up the money...

but well in the meantime we need to find a safe way to send the money

My take on this is that many (if not most) books could care less what the US does. They are slowly but surely moving on to cater to players in other countries.

If Scoccer were the only sport (for me) to bet; I could care less anyway. I rate ice hackey just a small tad above soccer for betting interest.
Recently someone offered to get the books a lobbiest if contacted. He suppossedly worked for a congressman and had "connections". Not ONE book responded and that thread lasted less than one day!
Western Union had allways given me the "creeps"!
