Angles:

Wisconsin played 11 teams with Defense in the Top 61. That has definitely made their Offensive numbers look worse than what they really are.

Shockingly, Wisconsin only played 1 Top 50 Offense in Ohio St at 32. Michigan, Penn St and LSU are in the Top 60, and naturally 2 of these 4 games 53+ points were scored. I was really shocked to see this stat.

Western Michigan played 4 Top 50 Offenses, NIU, Michigan, Toledo, and Ball St. all four games were 70+ points.

WMU has a lot of weapons....solid QB, almost had two 1000 yard rushers and Davis is a 1400 receiver who could play for any team in the Country. Defense has proven to be weak against quality Offenses.

WMU stats are padded due to the weak schedule so you've just go at to interpret where they might be if the schedule was stronger. You have to say that based on the above, the Defense would fall out of the Top 50 and the Offense would remain due to the amount of weapons.

I've played Over 51 -130

I'd say this is my strongest total to cap yet. If I lose this one I'll watch the rest tomorrow.

Wisconsin fan support (on the road) is one of the best in college football, they do travel well. Western Michigan is relishing their lofty status playing on New Years Day. With the Michigan & Ohio State bowl loses, it will be up to the Badgers to save (Big-12 face) and Western will give it their best shot in an effort to show they can play with the "big boys".......Lack of motivation will not be an issue.....Throw-in some decent weather in Dallas, Texas (winds from the SW at 6-10 mph and game time temperatures in the mid to upper 60's), you have the makings of an exciting (offensively oriented) college football game.

I'm with "Red" on this one (over) the current number (52) -110......Good luck to all.

Badger fans usually travel well ...I believe this game will be the exception. The lack of a true warm-weather site and a big name opponent and disappointment of losing Big Ten title game, caused a lack of ticket sales. If the fans' lack of interest is any reflection of how the team feels about this game, it might set up for an upset.

I wouldn't play this angle up. This will be worst attended game of the majors ... ticket prices were going for $3 on stubhub last week

I was at the MAC Championship game against Ohio, Which western won 29-23. After watching these two teams live in action is was very apparent to me that they were decent teams for their conference but were definitely a notch a few notches below any top team from the Big Ten. I think Wisconsin Rolls them.

I have to agree with you Tide....The Cotton Bowl has lost a lot of its luster......I go back to the days of Doak Walker when you couldn't buy a ticket for the New Years day Cotton Bowl game for love nor money. It was referred to as the "House that Doak built".
