Assuming Anahieim holds on to a 3-1 lead late in 2P.

Chicago vs VANCOUVER
Anaheim vs DETROIT

What the lines "should be":

Vancouver -120
Chicago +110

Detroit -170
Anaheim +150

Of course the Dead Things will be more like -300/+250.

There'll be a lot of hurt feelings once the Det/Ana series is over

That Anaheim money looks awful tempting.

Tempting enough to move the line about 35 points since it opened. That series is going to be a war, and the line is still too high.

-340 is, I would imagine to get some equal money. The -240 is right in line if you ask me.

Bushay, If there is one team that just may be able to knock out detroit it could be anaheim? They have the defence and they are rough and dirty, but kill penalties very well.

How is the goalie situation there in motor City?

that could be a key situation

All that said, I'm not putting my money up against Detroit, now way Mate

Ducks beat an injury riddled Wing team 2 seasons ago on their way to the Cup. and Babcock used to coach these Ducks. If Osgood plays "GOOD" not great, this series shouldn't go any longer than 6. Anaheim will chase the Wings and take stupid penalties and we all know the Wings PP is top notch!

Wings are not only ready for these Ducks, but this is the team they were hoping to play.

Keep in mind it took the Blackhawks 6 games to get rid of the injury riddled Flames. It only took Vancouver 4 games to beat the hottest team in the league since january.

Canucks in five

Detroit to Anaheim travel will be will be tough on the winner of that series.

Detroit in 7

Bushay what is the wings record in the last 6 seasons in PO series when travel to the west coast?

Ok, I did look back for 6 seasons and it's actually been around .500. They've lost series' to Anaheim and Calgary and they've won against Vancouver, San Jose and Colorado. And in most all the series' even though they lost, they won a lot of the games in their buildings. I really didn't see any advantage or disadvantage either way. You can check for yourself here, http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/141.html
click on the year and then "playoff results" in the top right corner for each season.

Good writeup. If the Wings PP is hot, this series is over early. Osgood cannot lose it for them either.

Not to beat a dead horse but.....the Blue may have been hot but they were also the worst team IMO of all the 16 that made the playoffs. In fact, to me...they were the ONLY team not capable of winning the cup. And they lost in 4. Not taking away anything from the Canucks as they did what they were supposed to do.
The Flames were short on D but with the addition of Cammilari and Jokinen added to a team that fell 2 points short of winning the NW and just 2 points behind the Canucks......I think your undervaluing the Blackhawks. After all, this was a very young team that's only played in one playoff series since 96-97' and none in the last 6 years. Beating Calgary in any condition was getting over quite a hump for them.

These teams don't like each other very much. Check out the penalties in the 3rd period of the last game they played against each other.

3RD PERIOD
05:50 Byfuglien, 2 min, Goaltender Interference
05:50 Eager, 5 min, Fighting
