That old man is as bad a coach as Larry Coker was for us at Miami...

and I'm not complaining...I have Colorado +3.

I have never seen worse coaching in my 14 years of betting college ball.

That's what happens when you don't get the "best man" for the job...but give the number 2 guy a shot you think he deserves

wtf go and hire a legit coach....too much talent on this team to be 1-2

West Virginia lost a LOT when they let Rich Rodriguez get away. The outlook for the Mountaineers for the next few years is not bright.

It's a shame, too, because over the last four years or so they were one of the college teams that were the most fun to watch. Not the current edition, though.

Winning that bowl game was the worst thing ever for the program. He was not even a candidate before that.

I bet the AD wishes he could take a mulligan on the hire. Whenever you make a decision based on emotion, you fail.

He looked like he was constipated to me . . . . maybe all he needs is to take some stool softener . . . .

Stewart signs $800,000 contract

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia University football coach Bill Stewart has signed a six-year contract that will pay him $800,000 this year with an annual increase of $50,000.

Athletic Director Ed Pastilong announced Friday that Stewart's base salary is $150,000, and he will earn $550,000 in supplemental income for promotional purposes, including radio and television appearances with the Mountaineer Sports Network.

Also included in his salary is a $100,000 annual retention fee that he will receive on Sept. 1.

He can also earn an additional $400,000 per year in incentives with an extra $150,000 for a national championship.

Stewart was picked to succeed Rich Rodriguez on Jan. 3, after leading the Mountaineers to a 48-28 upset victory over No. 3 Oklahoma in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
