maybe if you look at the season as a whole, but if you look at the last 5 games, you will see that boston is 5 of 5 ATS (and did i mention...8 of 8!) and many of those were blowout covers against better teams or much bigger spreads. boston is averaging a scoring margin of 17 pts per game, compared to detroit's whopping 2.4. i'll give them 3 pts for homecourt, but that still amounts to an 11-12 point spread considering what they have done lately..and the celtics have done it against better competition (magic, heat..)
and finally, they have both played a common opponent at home just in the past week...the mavericks. do i really even need to mention the outcomes of those two games, both played at HOME : record-setting blowout win in the garden, and an embarassing 22 point loss by the pistons at the palace.
in the NBA the past 5-10 games is really all that is relevant to look at. it is a very long season, with lots of injuries, and lots of streaks. otherwise, you should just be fading the thunder night in and night out right now...tell me how that works out for ya
this is a league of hot/cold, streaking teams..and NO ONE wants a piece of the celtics right now.
and BTW...the travel agent thing is just nauseatingly gay.
