I haven't even been to Brads yet. How is it? I wasn't impressed with TOT. Is there another gringo bar in the area of Escazu that is cool?

Chi Chis is OK, good food, good service. Owner dosent post here like a jackass 10 times a day, which is a huge plus. Never been there for a major American sporting event, do they show it with sound?

My Review of my 1st time at TOT

To get into more detail on the service:

Let me start by saying the place wasn't busy at all as we came rather late (about 10pm), so that's no excuse for poor/slow service.

We sat down, waited about 5-10 minutes before finally the waitress came over. We ordered our drinks, a pitcher of Dunkel to start and a juice for my non-drinking friend. The drinks came fairly quick, no complaints yet. We finished off the pitcher and the waitress was then no where to be seen for a good 15 minutes. Finally she appeared, grabbed our empty pitcher and glass and walked away quickly. Didn't ask if we wanted anything else or even pause for a second for us to ask her for more. We tried to wave her back over but she looked at us, walked by and then re-appeared with a bag and in different clothes. I guess getting ready to go home was more important than serving thirsty customers. We decided to just ask for the bill then and even that took another solid 15-20 minutes to get her attention and then ultimately the bill.

I hate to think what service would be like with that particular girl when it's busy times.

Our kitchen closes at 1:00AM seven days a week abd last call is never made before 1:30 seven days a week. If there is no one here at 1:30AM we will close at that time.

Actually on Christmas eve we close early. I think it was at 10:00PM this past Christmas and no one was here at that time.

Don't diss Brad's. It is a very nice place and the owner and managers are always nice to me when I go. Lena is one of the best bartenders around. Maybe I will see you there tonight guys. Please just dont kick my ass if I make it there.
