thats disappointing to hear. I read that CR doesn't use GMO's but never expected to see that chart. The difference between men and women is interesting in the second link. There's always something.Been living in CR for a while now. I used to have more or less a Vegan diet. But living here has changed that. When I buy veggies/fruits at the supermarkets here, wash them up, eat, I get sick to my stomach, bad taste in mouth and I could never understand it. Then I found out why:

CR uses the most pesticides than any other country in the world.

Also CR has one of the highest stomach cancer rates in the world...easy to figure out why.
There is almost no organic fruits or veggies here. I sometimes see the guy at the outside feria with a cardboard sign that says "organico" and charges more but you know that he is a fraud.
I've gone back to eating some meat mostly chicken less fruits veggies more processed food, and lot's of imported food and feel much better. I'll be back to vegan when I go back north. Will be very very happy to pay a little bit more for healthier produce that is there.
Good luck with that stuff.
How about Kiwis?
Huge fan of them, but I stopped eating them because now they want $.79 a piece for them, compared to 4 to 5 for a $1 a short time ago. I sware Americans are going to be run outta their own Country by food prices. I honestly don't see how half the people already afford it...
