FROM THE FWIW DEPARTMENT:

The Bears under new head coach Lovie Smith are going to field one ass kickin defense this year. The addition of defensive end Adewale Ogunleye (by trade from Miami) only adds more strength and speed to an already excellent defensive team. I don't know what they are going to do for points, but imho they won't be giving up many this season.

Chicago should have a great D, I'm also expecting the Jaquars to field a very strong defensive squad. If Leftwich can step up they may really be major spoilers. All the playing time Leftwich got last year should help his development big time, gonna be interesting

Thoguh I'm from Chicago, I am really not a Bears fan, but I think they are going to be very competitive. I really do. And I think the offense will be better than people think. The line solid and experienced with Tait and Ruben Brown added. And if he gets the time I think Grossman can deliver the football. Special teams could be a weakness.

But this is a potential playoff team I think. I see themwinning somwehere between 8 and 10 games.

tend to agree. i too, while from chicago, am not really a bear fan. all the talk in this division is about the vikings and the lions. i think the bears are better than the lions and i am not sold on the vikes...that defense stinks.

think the bears could actually contend for the division crown this year. lions will finish last...joey ballgame or not

Bears look like to me that they'll be in alot of low scoring games. Not very many impact players here.My prediction is last place.

Were not here to start no trouble, were just here to do the SuperBowl shuffle.
Bears will go 13-3 and sweep thru the playoffs mostly unchallenged.

I am glad someone pointed out this thread was from a few years ago. I was about to poke some fun at Wil thinking he just figured out Chicago had a good defense.

Chicagos D is overrated big time, they just didnt anybody in their division or in the NFC

Indy will move the ball and will score points 27+

This tam hasnt played anybody just like the SeaFrauds of last yr, easy schedule

a major league team is playing a minor league team tomorrow

This is one of the worst teams ever in the super bowl

There are 6-7 teams better than this garbage in the AFC

The only guy who can lose this game for Indy is Tony Dungy, this guy is just awful

I think the BEARS have the potential to prove your statement true of this being the worst SUPERBOWL team ever.

If they get blown out by 21+ points, YEARS FROM NOW MANY WILL AGREE WITH YOU!

Will this occur..........not sure, wish I knew.

They said the same crap about the Saints two weeks ago in relation to the Bears. Bears 38 Colts 13.

ZERO first downs in 25+ minutes

5 first downs after 3 qtrs

Dont you think Grossman has played like a 4th string qb all yr?
