Looking over the tennis lines at Pinnacle, I had planned on dropping the remaining $600 in my account on Roddick -230 over Coria tomorrow. To my surprise, I see the over/under (number of games for the match) is at 40.5. Well, HELL, it's a best of 3 tournament, so it CAN'T go over! Just to make sure, I check last year's final. Yep, Agassi beat Moya 6-3 6-3.
I write an e-mail to Pinnacle, hoping maybe I'll get $50 dropped into my account for alerting them to the bad line. Just before I send it, I remember the screwing Duke gave me earlier in the night with that BS ending ($2K difference), and I decide I'll take the shot. It was only $600 anyway, right? I delete the e-mail before it goes out. Then I drop the rest of my account on the UNDER.
Then I read the tournament info from their website - although this year's singles matches were all best of three - and despite the 2003 final being best of 3 as well - the "NEW 2004 format" has changed the final this year to a best of five.
I already know it will be going over since I was admittedly trying to get some free money. There doesn't get a stronger fade than this.
Well, I deserved this.
