I can sympathize a bit with Trump. For Trump, his family and friends, the economy is booming, big bonuses are in the works, the regulatory environment is relaxed, and inflation is a non-issue. Leaders of other countries are showering him with praise. No wonder he is angry that he’s not getting credit for righting the ship.
For many Americans health care costs and health insurance premiums are rising, food costs are high, consumer goods prices are rising, and the vaunted AI means that many more jobs are at risk.

I’ve gotten to the point where I monitor my utility meters on a daily or weekly basis to find where I can cut back to keep my bills down. Our water/sewer bill has doubled in the last 2 years. Those rates have increased more than 100% in that time. And for the illiterates, you can have increases in prices at a rate over 100%, just not decreases.
And to those who think I’m complaining, I’m not. I can handle the costs. Merely pointing out that it’s a flat out lie to say energy and utility costs are dropping. And I live in a Republican state, not Democrat if that’s your argument. But I don’t blame Trump, I blame our Governor. He promised these cost would go down if elected.
