What a fuckin' idiot! He played dead until 5, and he gets pissed 'cause the referee waves it off! He really looked like he was out cold.

Dude! Not the referee's fault, Bonsante looked totally dead and he didn't move until the referee got up to wave it off.

Bonsante's the moron in this.

what are you talking about, as soon as he hears "six" he jumps right up. meaning he heard everything going on, and he didnt stumble up, was wide alert and jumped up

gotta disagree with you. the refs concern is the fighter's safety. he had to make the call no hindsight included. he can't call the fight back on after stopping it. never saw someone play possum on the mat lol

why does the ref have to Rush to make the call like that? whats the urgency?? he can't count til 8 at least? no matter if you say it was a bad or good call, that wasnt a knock out. i guess the white dude is to blame the most for laying down like that. if he could jump up like that 6, he could've showed more life a few seconds earlier

I agree, but by that time, the referee was already waving his arms... he would've had to go back on his call to let the fight continue.

A guy like Jay Nady would have called the fight AS SOON as he saw Bonsante down with his eyes closed. Not after 5, not even after 2, *immediately*.

well they said the ref has the power to let a fight continue after waving it off. bad rule imo. somebody could get killed like that

His sister was our waitress at Canterbury park three or four years ago.
She was all of 110 lbs. She said it was hard to get a fight at that weight.
Anyway she had one fight in her boxing career. Went to Iowa for the
fight, broke her opponents jaw and won that fight. Anthony was dumb
to not give any sign to the ref that he could continue.
