Another slow week, with single games on both Friday and Saturday evenings. Here's what I'm playing:
Calgary/Toronto U 53.5 - Would have liked it a little more at 54, but I didn't pull the trigger until the total had dropped a half-point. I still like the play, though. Teams can score points on Calgary if they can run the ball, but the Argos are below average in that part of the offense. They're sub-par on offense, period, so I don't expect them to contribute much to the scoring.
A warning: I have been rotten with my CFL Under bets this season. I think I'm something like 0-4 on them.
Hamilton at Edmonton (-7) - I like the way the Eskimos have looked lately. Ricky Ray has been solid and the team can score a lot of points. On the other side of the field, I think the magic has worn off for Hamilton. (And it's a real sign of how bad things have been for them over the last many years that a 4-3 record is magic.) They've got a ground game, but Edmonton is above-average at stopping the run. If Hamilton is forced to turn to the passing game, it would be a long night for them. They may try and grind it out on the ground all night, while Ray and the Esks steadily pull away.
