my first play is:

az cards +3

1. bruce arians to me is clearly one of the best coaches in the nfl. i'm surprised it took him this long to get a head coaching gig.
2. dallas homefield is negligent and not a long trip for the cards. they have shown in the past two years that they can go on the road against good teams and get the W
3. cowboys implosion starts and its probably due to jerry jones forcing romo back into the game monday night. i thought they cowboys may have pulled out the victory had they left weeden in. romo was clearly physically compromised and then comes back in and gets nailed in the midsection. watching that play out must have been horrible for cowboys fans.
4. cowboys are not a 15-1 team, and not a 13-3 team either. they will probably end up with 10 or so wins. of those 6 losses one of them will be the cards. they are a good team with a good coach that are excellent against the rams.
5. anyone notice this slow erosion of the cowboys? randle gets caught for shoplifting, romo is hurt and jerry jones makes it worse by bringing him back into the game.. next up is an injury to demarco murray and then dez bryant getting frustrated that he's not getting the highlights and accolades while the o-line and the running game get put on a pedestal.
6. cowboys d is not good, they are being protected by the ball control offense. as long as palmer keeps playing turnover free football it should be yet another impressive road victory for the cards.

why not, i'll just post the entire article.

"Friday’s practice at Valley Ranch began with Dallas Cowboys starting wide receiver Dez Bryant and reserve running back Joseph Randle jawing back and forth at each other, Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News reports.

After the team lined up for their pre-practice stretching, Randle kept talking. That caused Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, who was just in front of Randle, to turn around and yell and curse at the second-year player, “Don’t say nothing from here on out.”

Randle appeared to say something else, causing Witten to turn around again and address him.

“I don’t really feel comfortable talking about it,” Witten said after practice. “We handle it inside our football team. It’s all good.

“There was a small issue and we were just trying to get it to stop so we could move forward with practice. There’s no issues there.”

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett declined comment on the pre-practice flare-up.

The incident occurred less than 24 hours after FOX 4 [KDFW] aired a portion of Randle’s arrest video from earlier this month.

While Randle was being booked at the Frisco City Jail, the Cowboys running back can be heard asking a jail employee if he will be suspended by the Cowboys because of his arrest.

Randle then mentions the prior arrests of Cowboys teammates Bryant and Josh Brent.

“Dez didn’t miss no games for smacking his mom,” Randle said.

“Josh Brent, he’s still up in the locker room,” Randle added. “He’s coming back. … He was driving drunk. That’s stupid.”"

thanks slurve!

next pick is bengals -10
1. just a good home team vs a bad team
2. bengals hit a little speed bump but but every team does at some point in the regular season
3. jags have been getting blown out (mostly) for the past 2 yrs, bengals won't overlook them because they havent played great lately either

monday night:

giants +3

1. home dog monday night.. i know this angle doesnt necessarily mean anything anymore but it makes me feel good to say it
2. i believe if you take a dog then your dog qb should be decent to good in order to have a fighting chance and eli fits the bill
3. giants coming off a bye
4. with the texans losing again, the colts don't have anyone pushing them in the division so sense of urgency is probably not there
5. giants still have hope in their division with the cowboys losing and the eagles losing foles
6. colts have new england at home next week and could be look ahead situation because of the afc playoff seedings
7. 2nd game in a row on the road for colts
8. giants off of a bye and the extra time should make the offensive line more cohesive, and give beckum and the rookie rb more time to get familiar and fluid with the offense
9. in the two football pools i am in, colts are backed 44-12 in one, and 80% in the other, yet line moved from 3.5 to 3.
