BRACE YOURSELFS

Houston Texans +7

Carolina have been biting the bullet all season, 3 road wins in overtime, living on a good Defense and one man, Steven Smith.

Outside Tampa Bay, Tennessee, they have had the match-ups theyve wanted. Last Week against New Orleans they showed the World their game plan, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Down, Run. 17-10 down, Run.

Up to now it has worked. Sunday I think Arron Glenn will take Smith out of the equation leaving everyone to concentrate on the run.

The Texans have a good offense (Banks hopefully plays a good game, hopefully) and should take advantage of a now banged up Carolina Defense. The key to their Defense is Dan Morgan, who is doubtful. Without him the run defense is gone and so is The Panthers D.

The Texans should be able to control the game with Morgan out, if he plays, all bets off.

The Panthers are known for their returns but The Texans are also top class in that category.

Another plus for The Texans,

This game is the lock of the century. No way the "Houston Oilers" have a prayer in this one!

The NFL is very popular in Britain, we have 2 live games Sunday and the Monday night game ,Albeit 2-30AM. I prefer to listen to the radio as I think you learn more from the commentators and watch the plays on NFL.com.

I started betting the NFL 25 years ago when the British bookies were clueless. They would put up the lines on Monday and stick to them regardless of what happened injury wise during the Week. Later on they started betting on televised games offering player matches, taking no notice of injuries. When you get opportunities like that you soon get to like a sport. I once had a bet in a punter match where the other punter had a broken leg, alas he had to play a down for the bet to count. One Saturday I walked into a betting shop and asked for the lines only to find they were still taking bets on the Thanksgiving day games. The good old days.

I dont consider posted plays or records very useful as anybody can hit a good streak and a posted play Detriot+4 on its own is meaningless. Win or lose, opinion and info is more important. I think people make their own minds up and like myself, may be considering a team and need that one snippet of info that justifies a bet.

However I am 2-0 posted plays and personally 58-0 on the season. Only Anthony Richkass is winning more money.
