The New Orleans Saints will roll in this one. Saints haven't looked good yet this year, but they lost two close games against Cleveland and Atlanta, and lost to a good looking Dallas team. Jimmy Graham out wont matter. Saints area averaging 26.4 points/game...Lions offensive line struggled (especially LT Riley Reiff and LG Rob Sims), Calvin Johnson will be out, and Reggie Bush is coming off an injury...Not to mention offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi having an extremely AVERAGE year- they should have blew out Buffalo last week, but offense struggled to put the game away when they were up 14-0.

Lions defense is not nearly as good as advertised..They have benefited from playing some bad offenses early. Lions corners Darius Slay and Mathis have been playing well, but are both below average NFL corners..Brees will torch them. Look for Brees to get the ball out of his hands early and fast in this game to counter the Detroit pass rush. Saints coming off a BYE with a better coaching staff will take it to the Lions at Ford Field this Sunday. These are still the Lions..Dont be fooled

Take New Orleans and the points this weekend. $$ cash it.

The lions IMO will be a good contender this yr, but with Calvin johnson out as well as jimmy graham, which makes saints more then one dimensional, should take it. Bills kicked their teeth in Detroit and saints are much better than the bills.

Have to disagree with you 100% on this one. The Lions D is legit and may be the best in the NFL. Drew Brees may torch them but don't forget this same D held Aaron Rodgers and the Pack to 7 points, the Pack scored 31 in the game before that and 38 and 42 in the 2 games after. Rodgers has 15 TDs to 1 pick and a QBR over 110 yet the Lions D shut him down completely. If Graham does not play I think the Saints may be too one dimensional because they are not going to be able to run on the Lions D. Brees looks tired and old and the Saints have not proven they can win on the road. Their 2 wins came at home vs Minny and they needed a miracle to beat the Bucs.

Bills kicked their teeth? If the Lions had anybody that looked like a FG kicker out there the Bills would have been out of it. Bills caught a break in the Lions did not have a FG kicker and Caldwell mismanaged the end of the game. Yes, Prater missed 2 last game but he is 100 times better than Henery who could not even get to the goal posts from 50 yards. Crazy stat, the Lions have already missed 10 FGs this year, the team with the highest missed FGs last year was 9 and that was over 16 games not 6!

Right, but don't put much stock into lions vs pack. That was a div game and packers are not that as high on the list as they once were for some reason. Lions can afford to lose this as they're playing Atlanta away and IMO they should rock Atlanta. Saints need this game more than lions so they should be up for the battle.

I hear you on the Lions vs Packers game earlier this year...Detroit dominated them. Just dont be fooled by the Detroit corners..They are not as good as they have looked. Detroit front 7 and safeties are legit..Not the CBs though.

I put them around 10-15 ranked defense at the end of the year.. No way they are the best in the NFL, sir.

ya let's see what happens when this Detroit D finally gets tested. They haven't really been tested yet. Caught GB at the right time with Lacy still recovering and switching helmets after Week 1 concussion. The last 3 weeks they have faced struggling teams with personnel issues. One thing going for the Saints will be there O-Line consistency. Only one of 3 teams who have had their all their starters play every game. And this game will be similar to CIN prior to NE. They really hadn't been tested yet, were over rated, and then got exposed by a veteran QB.

The lions are not turning the ball over as much as the saints. In addition, the lions are controlling the clock and the d is playing tough. Without Graham I think the saints will be very one dimensional. I mean what other receiver there is playing at a high level. Colston has lost a/several steps. I think the lions front seven are going to keep brees out of sync. Brees hasn't been performing at the elite level like the past few years.

Is Graham definitely out for Sunday? I saw an NFL.com report that he was going to be out a few weeks but I haven't heard any comments from Sean Payton at all about his status.

He wouldn't be the only TE playing with a sore/sprained shoulder. See Jordan Cameron. But Payton gave no update today. And the last we heard is it's not serious. And...yesterday...[FONT=proxima_novaregular]ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Saints TE Jimmy Graham (shoulder) is "hoping" to play against the Lions this weekend.

Mark Ingram should return this week.

Saints lost to Tampa Bay. It's tough to lay $ on a team that can be had by Tampa.

Rob Ryan practices against the same offense every day. Joe Lombardi is the oc and learned the Saints play book so he based the Lions offense off of it. I think without Megatron Lions offense suffers but Brees will spread the ball around without Graham and if Graham plays so much the better.
