week #6 picks

I went 3-1 in week 5 to bring YTD total to 15-15. The only certainty with my regular season picks seems to be if a stray too far from .500 I revert quickly back toward that .500 mean.

I wanted to get the first pick of week#6 in early before the line goes down to 2.5 like I think it will....

SD(+3) on Thursdday night.

I lean SD too although I haven''t given it a close look. SD has the 2nd highest scoring offense in football. They just always lose...

Do we know who the QB is for Denver. I would more readily bet against Paxton.

I actually heard that Siemian would be back, and obviously I would also rather have Paxton in if I am taking SD. But I just think that SD is due to clean things up at home against the SB champs. Beating Denver would go a long way to rescuing their floundering season, so I look for SD to lay it all on the line. Next week SD goes to Atlanta so if they lose this week , their season is over. And Denver has the look ahead to MNF next week against Ostweiler and the Texans..sure they would love to beat him and this could be a let up game. Every week, there is one of these games where a 3 point or so home dog, esp one more desperate than the away fav, wins the game agsinst a better team. This past week it was Detroit against Philly, the week before it was Buff vs Ariz. I think SD is this week's version. If the line drops to 2.5, you'll know it is all sharp money, which gives would give me extra confidence in this pick.
