<st1:City><st1lace>Baltimore</st1lace></st1:City> Ravens at <st1:City><st1lace>Indianapolis</st1lace></st1:City> Colts -4.0<o></o>
Health is the key in this game here. Both teams are banged up here, unfortunately <st1:City><st1lace>Baltimore</st1lace></st1:City>’s injuries are worse in this scenario. Defensively the ravens will be without Samari Rolle and Dawan Landry in the secondary, as well as Kelly Gregg at Nose Tackle. This is going to give Peyton Manning all the advantages he needs on Sunday. Whether it be Reggie Wayne or Marvin Harrison one of them are going to be covered by a banged up Fabian Washington and they are going to expose him all game. On the flip side of the ball, the key for the Colts will be to stop the run. They will stack the box and force Joe Flacco to beat them. Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis are going to be licking their lips for an opportunity to put a hit on this rookie. The Colts are in a must win game at home, and games are usually decided by 3 or more. I opt with the More.

<st1:City><st1lace>Chicago</st1lace></st1:City> Bears -3.0 at <st1:City><st1lace>Atlanta</st1lace></st1:City> Falcons<o></o>
Two things are obvious by this spread right here. On the first hand what it says is that people are starting to believe that the Falcons have a half decent team this year. And secondly it shows that people are just waiting for the Bears and Kyle Orton to screw up. Neither is the case here. <st1:City><st1lace>Chicago</st1lace></st1:City> is for real and their Defense is looking like the 06 version. <st1:City><st1lace>Atlanta</st1lace></st1:City>’s reason for winning so far this year has been Michael Turner’s huge games. Unfortunately for him that ends this week as he’s going up against the 4th best defense against the run, that hasn’t allowed a single rusher run for more than 80 yards so far this season. On the flipside of the ball, <st1:City><st1lace>Chicago</st1lace></st1:City> will continue to do what they’ve done all year. They are going to run the ball with Matt Forte, and considering the fact that they’re going up against a defense that is allowed 125 Y.P.G on the ground and 4.6 Y.P.C, than they should have no problem in this game. Add to the fact that <st1:City><st1lace>Chicago</st1lace></st1:City>’s D can cause turnovers add any given moment and Devin Hester always gives them the field position advantage. This game is an easy pick for me.
<o></o>
Mac Picks: <st1:City><st1lace>Chicago</st1lace></st1:City> -3.0<o></o>
<o></o>
<st1:City><st1lace>Jacksonville</st1lace></st1:City> Jaguars at <st1:City><st1lace>Denver</st1lace></st1:City> Broncos -3.5<o></o>
The Jaguars two wins this year came against Indy and <st1:City><st1lace>Houston</st1lace></st1:City>, their 3 losses this year came against the Bills, Steelers, and Titans. The common factor in these 5 games is Defense. When the Jaguars play against a bad defense (Indy, Houston) they win, but when they play against a good defense (Bills, Steelers, Titans) they lose. The reasoning for that is simple, when the Jaguars are most effective is when they can establish the running game. The reason for that is, it keeps the ball out of David Garrard’s hands and it allows the Defense time to rest on the sideline. When they go against a good defense that shuts the run down, they have to throw more, thus causing more turnovers and more 3 and outs which has their Defense on the field more and more. <st1:City><st1lace>Denver</st1lace></st1:City>’s defense is horrible. This game reminds me of the <st1:City><st1lace>Denver</st1lace></st1:City> game last week. Only difference is the Jaguars are a better team than the Buccaneers. Even if <st1:City><st1lace>Denver</st1lace></st1:City> gets the win here, it won’t be more than a field goal.
Mac Picks: <st1:City><st1lace>Jacksonville</st1lace></st1:City> +3.5<o></o>

<st1:City><st1lace>Jacksonville</st1lace></st1:City> Jaguars at <st1:City><st1lace>Denver</st1lace></st1:City> Broncos Total - 48.5<o></o>
Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick Tock. The Jaguars are going to do what has worked well for them for so long, and that’s running the ball and playing suffocating defense. These both add up to a fast game and a low score.
<o></o>
Mac Picks: Under 48.5<o></o>
<o></o>
<st1:City><st1lace>Philadelphia</st1lace></st1:City> Eagles at <st1:City><st1lace>San Francisco</st1lace></st1:City> 49ers Total - 42.5<o></o>
Both teams leave their defenses at home and sling it out in an old fashioned shootout.
<o></o>
Mac Picks: Over 42.5<o></o>

<st1lace>New England</st1lace> Patriots at <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> Chargers -5.0<o></o>
Ok I’ve been saying this team is one of the best teams in football. And this week is make or break for me. If this team plays up to the potential that I know they have than <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> wins this game by a FEW touchdowns. If not and they end up losing than they will have a difficult road to the playoffs. I analyzed this game last year in the AFC Championship, and I liked <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> to win back then. The only 2 things that have changed, is that now it’s in San Diego and one team is missing their best offensive player, and the other is missing there best defensive player. A QB is more valuable than a Linebacker every day of the week. <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> is going to expose what a lot of people are finally starting to find out, and that is that the Patriots defense is old and weak. On the flipside of the ball, I look for that <st1:City><st1lace>San Diego</st1lace></st1:City> defense that I know and love to step up and start to assert their dominance. This is a Sunday nighter in front of their home crowd so I love the Chargers to take their game to another level on Sunday.
