I didn't see wins vs. percentage covered in the rules. I only saw the part about wagers at -110 (and, I can only guess this was included to figure total $ won, otherwise we would just pick four games and not worry about juice).

But, isn't 6-8-2 (-$280) better than 7-9 (-$290)?

And, not so I'm just looking out for me - 9-5-2 (+$350) is better than 10-6 (+$340).

Once the season gets deeper into it, the actual money won/lost will be part of the weekly standings...the two examples you have used are correct

I'm just happy not to be finishing dead last, as the NFL is just an abyssmal sport for me.
