bears -3 (-125)
1. overreaction week 2. bears at home on monday night should be able to beat up on a rookie led eagles team
2. primetime game for young qb. i usually look to fade rookie qbs on short weeks like thurs games, or on primetime games
3. i see this line already moved to 3.5 on heritage so i grabbed the 3 while i could with my local
4. ertz injured last week for eagles. a te is a rookie qb's best friend.

chargers -3 (-120)
1. another one i wanted to get in early before the line moved to 3.5 (which it did at heritage)
2. both teams lost in heartbreaking fashion last week, the difference is that the jags are a young team and now have to travel across the country. jags coming into the season with high expectations while chargers expectations a little lower
3.i know keenan allen is out for the year, but this is nothing new for phillip rivers. i'm sure he can adjust accordingly. melvin gordon looked good against the chiefs.
4. i'm not sure how good the packer defense is, i think they got gassed in the heat, maybe let the jags offense look a little better than it is.
5. i'm expecting a couple of turnovers by bortles and the chargers winning by 7-10 pts.

As a homer, I'd NEVER trust my $ with my Bears. Just my 2 cents.
i think wentz is good for a couple of turnovers on monday night in primetime without his security blanket (ertz)

all the podcasts and radio stations talking about how good wentz looked. it was one game against a really poor browns defense.

giants -3.5
1. saints outside the dome don't have the same explosiveness on offense as they do in the dome. however, their defense is just as bad.
2. line moved across the key number of 4, went from 5 earlier this week down to 3.5. can't pass up that value. i don't think this i sharp money simply because two of the football pools i'm in have more picks on the saints than the giants. and these guys are not sharps.
3. revenge for last yr, although this is a very small factor in the play for me, it's there.
4. giants defense is improved from last year whereas i don't think the saints d has improved at all. each week i expect the giants d to get better as they play together and the new guys learn the system.

falcons +4
1. too much is being made of jack del rio and how they went for two and the win vs the saints last week. i mean even del rio is tweeting espn saying its a good thing they don't coach the raiders. not a good sign for the next week. not focused, watching too many replays of last week and listening to too much praise. i'll take the embarrassed falcon team to at least keep it close, if not win.
2. lost in all the hype is how bad the raiders d played. i expect the falcons to get 27-31 pts and that should be enough to cover or win.
