Yes indeed, they Couged it up against Eastern Washington in week 1 in what was most likely the Eagles Superbowl and I don't really grade these FBS versus FCS games anyways. Give me +11 and a never surrender offense with Leach\Falk and I will take double digits.

I know the Boilermakers are bottom feeders in the B1G, but with 16 returning starters Darrell Hazell might as well pack his bags with a poor showing here. What I like in this game is that Cinci possibly comes to town with their thoughts on a bigger matchup with AAC favorite Houston on the horizon and a short week as well.

Uconn +4 & ML +158

Somewhat late to the party here as line opened Navy -6.5 and was bet down perhaps on the news that Navy starting QB Tago Smith has been ruled out for this game. This is mostly a returning starters angle play here as the Huskies bring back 16 to only 8 for the Midshipmen. Adding 1/3 of a unit to the ML as well.

Seems to be a whole lot of Louisville hype going on out there and maybe it is just deserved, but this line does look a bit inflated according to my numbers.

Tennessee -11

I'm betting that the Vols where looking past Appy State last week and to this game from Bristol Motor Speedway. With a capacity of approx 150K, it will likely set a college attendance record and even the ESPN College Gameday crew will be on hand. That's an awfully big stage for a Va Tech QB making his first road start and a new Va Tech coach taking his team out on the road for the first time.

Illinois +7.5

Not getting great line value here as this was available at +9 last night and thought I would wait for a better number, like a dummy. Maybe a bit of a letdown spot for North Carolina, after blowing a 10 point 4th quarter lead in that big game down in the Georgia Dome. Now the Heels are rewarded with a trip to Illinois, a team they whacked 48-14 last season. The Lovie Smith era is underway in Champaign, hard to know what to expect but they did seem to run the ball fairly well for 287 yds in week #1, albeit against the likes of Murray State. Carolina had some issues defending the run against Georgia as well, to the tune of almost 300yds so maybe we might have a rushing dog that wants bark a little bit? Tarheels also came unglued just a bit penalized 13 times for over 100yds.

Wow, outstanding card, very sharp.
Totally agree and with you on Wazzu and the mL as well. Same thing happened with the Ill line with me as well. Still like the +7'. On Syr too, looking at UConn.
Thanks for the writeups

Arizona St. -2 (-102)

Following Pac-12 guru Conan on this one, I made it AZ -4.5.

Wake Forest +7 (-120)

Didn't want to take less than a full TD here as I made this line 7 and by waiting it out we get our number, albeit with some extra juice attached. Should be a low scoring game as evidenced by the total of 43.5, making these points that much more valuable in a conference rivalry situation.

Gonna call this one my Jimmy Johns special delivery of the week as we got a fat sandwich spot right here for the Crimson Tide, coming off their annihilation of USC and a big game on deck against Ole Miss next week. Its tough betting against Bama for sure, but we have seen this story unfold before and the lack of line movement and the public % taking Bama brings enough confidence to make a play.
