Is Arizona really just -3.5?
Don't you think they feel disrespected and are tired of being ripped by the national media and especially by Cris Collinsworth who called them "possibly the worst team to ever make the NFL playoffs"?
I see them lighting it up against Seattle just to show that they haven't packed it up and aren't just waiting it out until the playoffs start (although they definitely did vs. New England). Add on the fact that the Cardinals are 5-0 against their division foes and have scored as follows against NFC West opponents...
At Home: 63-34 in 2 games (31.5-17.0 avg), +29 (+14.5 avg)
On Road: 83-46 in 3 games (27.7-15.3 avg), +37 (+12.4 avg)
Overall: 146-80 in 5 games (29.2-16.0 avg), +66 (+13.2 avg)
Some can argue that the Cardinals may rest their guys in this game but how much more rest do they need? They clearly haven't tried the last 2 weeks and head coach Ken Whisenhunt would be under fire if he rested his guys in Week 17, after such poor performances in Weeks 15 and 16, and then they went on to get spanked in round 1 of the playoffs.
As the numbers above show, the Cardinals have beat NFC West opponents by almost 2 touchdowns per game.
Arizona -3.5 is definitely a play I will keep my eyes on and most likely unlaod on sooner rather than later.
How do you guys feel?
