Is Arizona really just -3.5?

Don't you think they feel disrespected and are tired of being ripped by the national media and especially by Cris Collinsworth who called them "possibly the worst team to ever make the NFL playoffs"?

I see them lighting it up against Seattle just to show that they haven't packed it up and aren't just waiting it out until the playoffs start (although they definitely did vs. New England). Add on the fact that the Cardinals are 5-0 against their division foes and have scored as follows against NFC West opponents...

At Home: 63-34 in 2 games (31.5-17.0 avg), +29 (+14.5 avg)
On Road: 83-46 in 3 games (27.7-15.3 avg), +37 (+12.4 avg)
Overall: 146-80 in 5 games (29.2-16.0 avg), +66 (+13.2 avg)

Some can argue that the Cardinals may rest their guys in this game but how much more rest do they need? They clearly haven't tried the last 2 weeks and head coach Ken Whisenhunt would be under fire if he rested his guys in Week 17, after such poor performances in Weeks 15 and 16, and then they went on to get spanked in round 1 of the playoffs.

As the numbers above show, the Cardinals have beat NFC West opponents by almost 2 touchdowns per game.

Arizona -3.5 is definitely a play I will keep my eyes on and most likely unlaod on sooner rather than later.

How do you guys feel?

DD1,

sports.com has them at -3.5 while the greek has them at -6.
either way, i believe if you can get the cardinals under -7, they're a very high value play.

I'll make a big play on the 1st half just incase they decide to sit players late in the game.

I havent posted and wasnt going to but its already in n line moves wont affect me but I ABOLUTELY LOVE ZONA!!!

Yes I have watched their last game and know what happened in the the Vikes game but all that clinching stuff is behind em now and makes me love this even more!! Agree with the 1st half too but not very worried about the game. This has tune up, sumthin to prove game written all over it vs a team that is coming off an emotional win and a pitiful D. Not that Zonas D is sumthin to write home about but Zona should be able to cover 6 EASILY!!! Jus what the doctor ordered for Zona :103631605 GL n Merry Christmas to all of ya.............:toast:

will they "try" to play or take another payoff ???

logic would say that they try to get some confidence for the playoffs, i mean payoffs...

I agree. The have not played a lick since they locked up the division. To lay down at home this weekend before the playoffs begin would be suicide. Ken Whisenhunt knows better than that. They should play a spirited game and even if they pull Warner you'll get Matt Leinart for the rest of the game. I like this situation..Good logical pick.

The angle you have taken on this game is logical. The only problem is Arizona absolutely sucks ass. Seattle absolutely sucks ass.

I could easily come back to you and say Holmgrens last game, guys geeked up and want to send him off a winner, guys playing for a place on the roster next year yadda yadda yadda.

Personally I wouldn't touch this game. Arizona is gonna be one and done in the playoffs.

Can't disagree more. They were getting ripped for weeks, played like crap against the Vikings, took a lot of heat.

Then they come to NE and lay down and die. No reason to believe they wont do it again.

I am definitely with you on Zona. Seattle is piss poor.. yes, Zona has been playing like shit, but Whisenhut wants to set the tone, and get some momentum going into the playoffs. He has said that they will play, and play to win, because if they come into the playoffs playing like they have been, they shouldn't even show up.

I think the main thing with Ramon's reasoning is ARI's dominance in it's division, esp at home. With their last 2 losses, NE & MIN were playing for their playoff lives, while ARI had locked up their div already. And since the bye wk, every single one of ARI's wins have come from the NFC West. Look for it to continue.

Besides, Ramonskee is hot! Why buck him now too?

I think you got a good number no doubt. I could see just about anything happening in this game though. Seattle will be ready to play and would love nothing more than to send Arizona into the playoffs at 8-8.

Thank you for your opinions (whether you agree or disagree with me) guys.

Tomorrow is a big day for me (I'm in first place in an office confidence pool, up 12 points on 2nd place - HUGE difference between 1st place and 2nd place prize money) and I wish you all the best of luck.

I'm posting a few plays in a little bit in a new thread.

obviously the sharps liked Zona as well at the lower number. Not only that, but I looked at the Hilton Contest top 30 contestants and Arizona picks outnumber Seattle picks 9-1 at a line of -6.5 . Goodluck with this pick

best play is AZ -.5 for the 1st quarter. Zona will play starters for the 1st quarter and maybe the half but expect them to come out in a big way to start the game..
