I found something worth checking out on a weekly basis. On vegasinsider.com, Daniel Dobish has a feature called College Betting Recap. It tracks the betting and is very enlightening. Worth checking out. For instance last week ATS the Favorites won 31, Dogs won 28, and there was 1 tie. There were 19 Overs and 34 Unders (weather becoming a factor). In the ACC for instance the dogs went 6-1 and in the Big Ten the dogs went 5-2, whereas only one dog prevailed in the PAC 12. You should check his article out, very thorough and detailed.

N Carolina was very impressive in their win over Duke. As you might recall they were in the AP preseason top 25.

Minnesota held the ball for 35:03 in their win over Nebraska and no T.O.’s

Virginia Tech beats Duke the week before and then loses to W Forest last week. Go figure

Utah had 4 T.O.’s and two led directly to T.D.’s

Cal had 5 T.O.’s and only 8 fewer yards than Stanford (410 to 418)

Mizzou had no T.0.’s and outgained Tenn 410 to 279.

Four teams have already played 12 games but guess what they all have one more to play. Hawaii plays Fresno St, Washington plays Washington St, UNLV plays Nevada, and Utah St plays Boise St. So Hawaii, Washington, UNLV, and Utah St all will play 13 games this season.

The top 10 in Turnover Margin (actually there are 12 since 4 are tied for 9[SUP]th[/SUP]) are a combined 81-52 ATS (61%). They are in order: Michigan St, Georgia, TCU, Oregon, Arizona St, Minnesota, Utah St, FIU, Arizona, La Tech, Georgia Tech, and Memphis. TCU, FIU, and La Tech each have won 8 ATS so far.

Got the mail, will be getting back to you asap, I'm doing some of the cooking (frying the turkeys) for Thursday, so a bit hectic. Comments on above: Wouldn't touch Minny with a 100' pole, tell me the last time they won at Camp Randall (I know the answer). North Carolina is gonna roll, great articles in today's Charlotte Observer, yeah, State is pissed about the celebration at midfield by UNC players on State's field after the end of last year's game. Then some jackass corner for State yesterday comes out and states how "soft" UNC QB Williams is. Serious poster board material for the Heels. The Heels seem to have found a rhythm that was supposed to have been there in the beginning but is now, my money will be on the Real Carolina Blue. Be interesting to see which of the Allen bros play QB for Arky on Saturday, youngster came in a did a pretty good job last weekend, but this is for a lot of marbles, can he do it again? GL my friend.

Washington St outgained Arizona St 622 yds to 330 yds but 5 T.O.’s did them in. Washington St’s running game is still their nemesis rushing for a mere 21 yds.

Ole Miss had 6 T.O.’s against Arkansas.

Cal had 5 T.O.’s against Stanford.

4 TO’s also made the difference as W Vir lost to Kansas St. Kansas St rushed for only 1 yd.

Texas Tech and Iowa St combined for 1169 yds. Sounds like lack of defense more than anything.
Oklahoma held Kansas to 103 total yds.

Revenge games:
Last year Texas beat TCU 30 to 7.
Last year Florida St beat Florida 37 to 7.
Last year Miss St beat Ole Miss 17-10.
Last year N Dame beat USC 14 to 10.
Last year Vandy beat Tenn 14-10.
