skipped last week, was 0-1 the two weeks before i think. someone correct me if i'm wrong. 9-10 ytd.

this week i like three games..

giants +6

1. the giants defense has quietly become one of the better units in the league after a slow start. the team seems to be playing for each other and i like them to easily cover this game if not win outright.
2. pittsburgh was everyone's favorite to get to the superbowl and they have the sexy peices to get it done, but they have not shown me anything impressive since the the week 4 blowout win over the chiefs. this team is what their record says they are, a 6-5 team that may be a touch over mediocre. i'm really upset with myself for not taking the under total team wins with this team.
3. giants are what their record says they are, an 8-3 team. they are winning with defense now which tells me this is sustainable. they are playing like when then won their superbowls. under the radar and solid d. eli will make enough plays to keep them close if not win outright. i think they only need to score 21 to cover this spread.
4. the most points the giants have allowed this season was week 3 against the skins when they gave up 29.
5. what is interesting to note is that the steelers have only played 1 game all season that was decided by less than 7 points (cowboys loss 35-30). does this mean that they blow out the giants or get blown out?? i don't know but i will sprinkle some on giants ml as well.^!:

the other game i like was jags +4 over the broncos but as i went to play the game it was 3.5. i will wait to see if it goes back to 4, if not, no play for me.
1. don't like the broncos coming off that heartbreaking loss in a 5 quarter game on sunday night and now having to go play a team across the country and the line is really fishy and going the wrong way.

chargers . ..... if game goes back to -3.5 i will take this game as well. its at 4 now at my book.
1. tb going across the country to play a sneaky good charger team after beating two good teams back to back. the bucs are good enough or consistent enough to continue this improbably streak.

nyg/pitt un 48.5

1. giants haven't scored over 30 or allowed over 30 all year.
2. decently cold day in pittsburgh.
3. mainly just a play on the giants defense holding strong and could see whoever wins the game scoring about 24 points

Really don't feel nyg is what their record says, they have feasted off a incredibly weak schedule chalked full of offenses that would make any defense look good. I think the chances they win this game incredibly slim but that is a big number that tough to lay. My gut says pit wins convincingly but not sure I can play them as I'm somewhat allergic to favs.

This is what all the pundits are saying but who has played a tough schedule? Cowboys play basically the same schedule as the giants but they are considered the best team. Who have the Steelers played that makes their schedule so tough?

Pretty much any strength of schedule or power rating formula has gmen schedule strength 26th or worse while steelers much closer to middle of the pack. Then when you look and see who they have played the last month it pretty obvious gmen have benefited from weak competition. More power to them they winning the games they should and most likely making the playoffs but they are not a Super Bowl caliber team IMO (not saying steelers are). Guess we will see.

Would have to agree with OverThinker. The Giants are definitely not what their record represents. I believe they'll be lucky to get to 9-7 this season, the implosion is coming.

On their most recent win streak, aside from the Ravens, no other team they have beaten since has a winning record and 5/6 (browns away, does it even count?) were played at home.

Not saying they have no chance to cover because 6-7 is a large number to hang with those wr weapons the Giants have against the Steelers flimsy D (although this would also depend on just how bad the weather gets?). But I can't see Steelers losing outright at home and can even see an Eli meltdown/giants exposed from the shock of vsing a high powered offense for the first time in awhile.. leading to a blowout.. Still taking the -6 is too much for me.

Anyway best of luck cashducuts, I'm not on this game so I actually do hope i'm wrong and you cash it if you're on it large my friend! more money for us Rxers = less for the books!!
