Let's have a GREAT season everyone!
Baltimore/Pittsburgh OVER 39.5 -107 @ Canbet
5.35 units to win 5.00
These are not the Ravens and Steelers of a couple years ago. As a matter of fact, I feel the total was set about a field goal shy of what it should have been based on public perception of these defenses. Last year's games yielded 49 total points in Baltimore and 65 points in Pittsburgh. I see nothing to suggest that things would be any different this time around. We have a Steelers offense that can put up points on anyone and also one that has humbled Baltimore recently. Burress and Zereoue excel against Baltimore as each both have by far their best games against the Ravens. Zereoue has 5 career rushing TD's and 4 of them are against the Ravens. He has a 4.2 yard average on 55 carries as well. It is my opinion that a MAJOR reason Zereoue was named the starter was due to his success vs. Baltimore. Burress has a 16.2 yard average for his 24 receptions with 4 TD's. While the Steelers can talk about rallying based on the Joey Porter shooting, it doesn't help the lack of talent in the secondary. It actually will hurt significantly as he is their best playmaker, QB rusher, and defensive leader. A perfect recipe for Boller in his first pro start. I think he would have put up some points even with Porter. Billick finally has a guy that he has confidence in throwing the ball and he has a vulnerable secondary to work against. Jamal Lewis is a stud back and Todd Heap has had a great deal of success against the Steelers as well. I expect both teams to pass quite a bit which will keep the clock from ticking away too quickly. Icing on the cake: Early returns show the public is favoring the under. This is a five unit play for me which is my maximum.
