Stanford getting splashed by Northwestern.

Cards will be a player in the Pac this season.

Saying that...I took NW today. Stanford was at a disadvantage time wise for this early game. Hell, they
were getting up at 4a.m. there time to play NW at 11:OO am.

The time thing is totally overrated. They are division one athletes in excellent condition. The truth is that Stanford just isn't very good as they were dominated by Northwestern who ran up 235 yards rushing. Kevin Hogan was ineffective missing open receivers when it counted most. Cardinals are not an elite team as in past years under Shaw.

Hilarious read
They will be a player, but lost the opener as a big fave because of a timezone issue
And of course you faded them as a post pick

R.A and Big Hurt. I don't mind being each of you experts clown show tonight. I WON and played NW because of the time zone and home field advantage. You two horseshits didn't even bet the game.

Hotshots, bet against Stanford the rest of the season in the Pac. Dumbasses!

SDSU beat San Diego 37-3.. But only scored 16 on offense. Against a team with no scholarship players. Probably best to not make much of these games, but former UK QB Maxwell Smith looked like he had a terrible game. Might have a hard time keeping up with Cal next week...

Cal will find a way to give up 30+. Could still cover tho

Temple really dominated penn st. UC played a cupcake. Anything more then 4 has value for owls.

Uva is shitty, that game could have been 30. Bruins pulled a few starters once they got up 3+ tds.
Irish could of named their score against ut and strong & co. Are Sad!
Oddly enough irish are being underated if this line isnt at least 10. Imo

Louisville/Auburn. Louisville ran up 200+ yards on an over-rated Will Muschamp defense.

Keep an eye on Tennessee's D this year.

First, I told all of you, including you Clover, that Stanford has no offense. They can easily lose 7 games this season. Shaw's offensive scheme is just terrible. His team has held to 20 or less 6 times last season and they are well on their way to another terrible offensive performance this season. Shaw is simply not that good of a HC.

The Big 10 and Big 12 really have problems. The Big 10 is basically down to two teams, those being Michigan State and Ohio State. The Big 12's top two teams looked very poor this past week. TCU's QB is nowhere near Heisman material, and TCU's offense really leaves something to be desired. Bayor could not stop an offense consisting of 11 seniors out of the home, much less a football team. With Texas playing like the crappy team they are, and Kansas losing at home to South Dakota State, Big 12 fans had better be rooting for Oklahoma, the only name team the Big 12 has left.

Let me tell you what, as a Northwestern ticket holder, when Shaw punted on the NW 35 and it went out of the end zone it just put a huge smile on my face.

You won the game ... congratufuckinglations. Now play the rest of the season based on your time zone theory and be sure to let everyone know how it turns out. Hell, if it's successful you can go tout, move to Las Vegas and hopefully, we'll never hear from you again. The real bottom line is that Stanford just isn't very good and you'll see that play out the rest of the year.

Wisconsin got dominated by Alabama...obviously. However they were without their best offensive player and their best defensive player. It would not have made a difference in the game score but the margin would not have been as big.

A a former Division 1 football player, let me assure you that the time thing is definitely NOT OVERRATED. Getting up that early on an away weekend, after traveling is a great burden, even to young athletes.

Purdue - better team lost b/c of pick-6 to begin and end game. Purdue 10 min possession advantage, 8 more first downs, 55 more yards but 4 INT's

So Miss - definitely weren't 16 points worse than miss st but 3 times settled for short FG's inside State 15. also two ugly INT's...one getting into FG position and the other deep in own zone giving Miss St 3 points. Also allowed 101 yard kick return

someone really posted stanford/nw under "misleading" scores? talk about not understanding the concept....

I thought the same thing. Stanford got it's ass handed to it. Kind of scary for the other Big Ten West teams, if the Fitzgerald has gotten his mojo back.

I'm going to add the homer pick for misleading score. Smart money was on BYU in this game so when Nebraska had a rough start with a physical, well established team in it's system vs Nebraska's first time out, it was no surprise. But NU controlled them the second half. BYU's 12 second half points were all from desperation Hail Mary plays, the last play that everybody saw and then earlier on 4th and 1 with the qb just throwing it up and praying, which got them into field range when one of the jolly green giants got the ball. Add two missed 40 yd field goals for NU, the game should have been a 10 point victory the other way. BYU was 3-14 on 3rd down. Nebraska was 6-14 missing on 3rd and 1, 3rd and 1 and 3rd and 3 to ice the game. I can probably count half a dozen plays that might have iced the game. BYU really defied the odds in that 2nd half.
