if you're not a frequent smoker it should be out of your system in about 3 days from what i understand. It all has to do with the frequency in which you indulge. If you consistently smoke every day it can take 2-3 months to clear your system. That being said, that is for fat sloths who do no physical activity. Like any other toxin you can aid your body in cleansing by sweating. A guy i know claims to have smoked while on probation only to find out that he has a piss test in 48 hours. According to him he played basketball all day, drank water and passed. Urban legend... maybe, who knows.

I work with criminal justice professionals and have been told by more than one probation officer that they actually test less than half the urine samples they receive. It costs the state money (of course) and for many cases just the threat the urine might be tested is sufficient to keep them straight. And it also accounts for the guys who go in the morning after a tokefest and don't "turn up dirty".

They walk out thinking they beat the system, but if they try it more than a couple times, they will have a sample that truly gets tested and then It's Off To See the Whizzard (who oversees that Emerald City)

That's the first i've ever heard of a "hit" of weed. In my younger days it was acid that was refered to by that term, and weed was smoked & called a joint. Acid = LSD.
