Analysis:
This game jumped off the page to me more than any other. More often than not that's a good thing. I've looked hard to find a reason to fade the Warriors here in what obviously is a home game. Hawaii is always tough at home. Even in the many lean years they were a problem for visitors. I recall a conversation I had with the late Mizzou coach Larry Smith on that very subject. It took place when he took the Tigers over for a game. We were out for the game and he lamented the fact it was the toughest place to take a team and maintain their focus. From all accounts that's still an ongoing issue for staffs. Frankly the eye ball test this season tells me there is zero valid reason the Warriors can't and won't go toe to toe with the Bears. If you like tough defensive rock fights this won't be your thing. Not remotely close. Of course Sagapolutele will get most the hype in the build up but freshman Micah Alejado is legit and should have a field day against the Cal defense. I love Hawaii in this spot. Also a strong lean to the over.
