Wednesday picks 1/13

I've got a some losses that I've been able to decipher under my belt, I'm going to try and learn from those and switch my style up. Lets keep the winning train going again. Last night felt good to get back on track! Might be back later with another.

Villanova -18 -This is huge number, especially to spot a team that just beat Providence at Providence. The number is most likely this large for a reason. Nova won by 18 and 11 last regular season and then routed Marquette 84-49. Not going to second guess myself. Villanova has one of the best defenses in the nation across the board and this game is at Nova so they got the rowdy crowd support tonight. Line opened at -16.5 and I wish I would have taken it then but I didn't. Thats ok as I think Nova can win this by 20+. With the public all on Marquette still remembering the big win they had a couple games back and the spread this large, well that seems odd to me. Marquette has to bring their A defense and that might be tough at Nova. Testing my line reading skills tonight cause this seems like quite the large number to be spotting a confident Marquette team. Fishy. Give me Nova for the blow out.

Yikes.. Nova up 16 to start the first 10 minutes of the half and gives up. 27-11 run to end the half.. That looked very promising and then fell apart. They play two halves though. Hopefully they can do it again but gonna be hard to cover this in one half of play. Gotta have faith though! Cmon Nova!

Jeese... Had them down 17 with 5 min to go and down 18 on last possession.. Just needed to dodge one shot for the push at least.. Brutal to let that game go so early in the first half. Sorry guys.
