wednesday at del mar

the earthquake shook the cobwebs off my handicapping and i'm going to dive in to today's card at del mar.

r1: no name jsut game. going to get a decent price on this gal, considering the short field and i think mullins has this filly in a good spot to get her second win. the lack of a burning pace may hinder her chances, but she's got enough zip to not fall too far afield and make her run at the top of the lane.

G- everything's great- escaped the quake unscathed. i trust you and the family are well.

r2: pass

r3: love to siphon. like the way this baffert filly is cycling up to this race and with her running the style, i think removing the blinks will really move this gal up.

r4: norway house. made a few bucks with war scandal last out at pollywood, but not going to play him here, despite the controlling pace angle. 'house is a grizzled vet and the price is right.

r5: crimson cowboy. morey cheapie is outclassed, but has blazing speed in a race not exactly loaded with fire. front enders have done alright in sprints and i think he can clear and hold on with hot riding bejarano.

r6: unvarnished. mandella gelding may just be getting good now after crushing maiden allowances last out at hollywood. the field he trounced wasn't full of world beaters, but i liked the way he did it and this guy seems to have the most upside of those in here...
