Hit the 5 unit play, although it was a close one. That's what makes a large play good, that not all factors come through, but it still can win. Kuroda pitching that well was not expected, as was the A's poor hitting through 7. A's BP came through big. It looks the totals play on the Dodgers- Sox is a loser, and might I say that the Dodgers suck. They have so much money and talent in that lineup, and yet can't even get more than 1 run off of Noesi. At home. Or maybe Dodger Stadium is really the ultimate pitcher's park.
1-2, About +3 units

A's -1 (+104) 3 units. Would take this for more, but Chavez has cooled down since his hot start. Nevertheless, I don't expect Vidal Nuno to get the job done for the Yankees. He is a soft tosser that has no plus pitches, unusual for a soft tosser. He is a HR magnet- 9 HR in 47 IPs. And the A's have the power hitters to make him pay. He is an extreme fly ball pitcher which is never good in Yankee Stadium. Has a 7.94 ERA in Yankee Stadium. Chavez has been reborn as an A. Has added a splitter, good command, and is very effective at pitching in and out of the strike zone. The A's also have the better bullpen. The Yankees struggled all weekend against worse RHP, and in the preceding weeks, and couldn't get to Kazmir( a LHP). Finally, the A's are an excellent road team, the Yankees are still overvalued and their demise is inevitable.

Miami ML +159. One unit. David Price is also overvalued, especially when his team can't hit. I've seen poor hitting teams that continue their slumps for weeks, and that's what I see here. The Rays have no power, no continuity of hitting prowess in the lineup, and even Koehler has a good chance of shutting them down. Price has a habit of throwing too many fastballs, and usually gives up a few runs before the Tampa BP comes in to throw gas on the fire. At least Miami has a decent chance of hitting.

Washington -1 (-129) One unit.
Washington RL +125. One unit.
Paying the high juice here. But the Phillies also look dispirited. Coach Larry Bowa called them out in the media(never a good idea), Sandberg called for a team meeting and they responded with a 7-0 loss. They are a seemingly apathetic bunch, rookies and older veterans that don't have much chemistry. The BP is also poor. Strasburg has dominated the Phillies going back to last year, giving up just 1 ER in his last 29 IPs vs. Philadelphia. Washington showed some life at the plate last weekend and is competing at a high level, while the Phillies seem to be going through the motions.

Thanks for last nite's pick!! Followed you last nite. So weird to sweat out a game and then chill during extra innings. I lose those kinds of games 9 out of 10 times

Toronto TT over 4 (-125) One unit. A bit of a risk since Porcello has been pretty tough this year. But the Jays have hit over .400 off him lifetime, and I have a feeling last night's 9th inning explosion continues today. Then there is the Tiger bullpen. Nathan looks like a bust. Hopefully the Jays ares still hot. Detroit is in a mini-slide downward, but I don't trust Dickey all that much to take Toronto straight up.

Win or lose, got to love the way the A's are patient in hanging around in every game.

It had to happen eventually.

oh…. and the Dodgers, 1 hit in 6 innings against another mediocre starter. The White Sox were primed to get pounded.
