Miami of Ohio (2-2) is blowing away the cupcakes, but struggling against strong offenses. They got flattened 43-10 by Michigan and 45-26 by Cincinnati (although they played better against Michigan than the final score suggests). So, can Marshall score? Well, they have the talent to score, but haven't yet because of a brutal schedule. Miami of Ohio QB Josh Betts has filled in nicely for Ben Roethlisberger, with 1,099 yards, 9 TDs, 5 INTs. Miami of Ohio is all passing, though, averaging 31 points and 298 yards passing per game. That lack of versatility will hurt here against Marshall club (0-3) desperate for a win. The Thundering Herd has played brilliant defensive teams, losing 17-15 to Troy State, 24-21 to Ohio State and 13-3 at Georgia. This will be the weakest defense they've played, so expect a bust-out game. QB Stan Hill and RB Earl Charles should have big games and avenge last season's 45-6 defeat to Miami. Two years ago on this field, Marshall beat Miami 36-34 as a +2 dog. Despite the 0-3 SU start, Marshall is 2-0 ATS.
