Hey all -
I thought I'd give this a try and I hope to post NBA and College Basketball picks throughout the respective seasons. We'll see what happens and good luck to everybody! My plays will be from betonline.com and everything will be 1 unit. I'm not a chaser...
Wednesday, October 29th Action
3 plays:
Denver (+7) at Utah
Utah playing without Deron Williams and less importantly Matt Harpring..I know Utah was 37-4 at home last season and that they banged up the Nuggets in both contests in Utah last year but the Nuggets are talking like a team that is looking to make some noise. I'm the first to admit talk is cheap but look for Iverson and Carmelo to play well out of the gate and keep this game close and maybe even win, which lead me to my next pick.
Denver at Utah Under 210.5
Yes I know Denver lost its best defensive player in Camby but Karl has been running nothing but defensive drills and although the Nuggets will never be confused with defensive stalwarts, combine that fact with no Deron Williams and this could very well go under the total. A first half under might be a solid play as well but let's not get greedy!
New Orleans at Golden State Over 207
You all are probably sick of my "I knows"...but although I know Golden State is without Baron Davis and no Monta "Moped" Ellis but this game still has all the makings of a scoreboard bonanza. Maggette, Jackson, Biedrins, Harrington will all score in double digits for the Warriors, and it's the Warriors lack of D that should provide the over, because seriously, who is stopping CP3? He'll have 15+ assists tonight and this game will be a track meet.
