Race 1

(7) SEPTEMBER HALL shipped and was roughed up getting parked the mile. Should get luckier this evening. (3) SMALLSREED has been good last few and faces much the same in here. (5) DEPUTY DYLAN drops to a more suitable level and will be a threat.

Race 2

(6) MODERN WARFARE has been facing better out of town and ships in looking to score first win of the year. (5) OH WHATA GUY can get it done with the right trip. (4) PLAYERS BALL faces weaker seeking the elusive first score on the year after winning his share in '13.

Race 3

(2) HEZATRAIN has been sharp all recent with late closing efforts. (1) PASSIONATEPRINCESS has the rail and sucks along to the end. If the top one falters she can get it done. (4) HIGH GEAR WINNER has gone steadily in most recent and could get lucky on best effort.

Race 4

(1) LITTLE AMOS is a beaten favorite, draws the rail and has no excuse. (2) SHOCKBYELECTRIC won last on the front end and should be on the engine again. (7) EX DREAM has to overcome the post but showed some modest late foot two back.

Race 5

(1) SPECIAL PURPOSE set a new life mark in last and looms as hard to beat once more. (7) THE RAINCATCHER has to overcome the post, a breaking habit and hope it doesn't rain but faces weaker and will be tough if she makes the front end. (2) HEZA RUBE has dropped like a rock but sooner or later will find the right field.

Race 6

(1) DVC EASY DOES IT was parked before finding a seat in last leaving from the outside but put in a much improved effort. Vet draws the rail and should save enough ground to be the late closing winner. (5) DO IT DOCS WAY takes a modest drop in company and may be able to build on last week's out of town effort. (9) COWBOY ROUNDUP was parked from the two-hole last, challenged to the half and expired. An improved effort can be expected facing these campaigners.

Race 7

(7) KATIE AND J has been battling in all of recent and her best gets her home in time in well matched field. (5) SHOOTFORTHESTARZZZ roared home in last to upset at nearly 50-1 so has to be mentioned as the main threat. (4) CODYTHECLOWN has been all over the racetrack in last few and can be a late threat with right trip.

Race 8

(5) ROUNDING THIRD and heading home with the winning run is what you can hope for as this one drops to a more suitable level. (2) OUTAMYSPACE has some good late speed and has used it well last two. (6) PROMISED THE MOON and delivered in last with short priced wire-to-wire romp but moves out and faces somewhat better.

Race 9

(6) ROCKIN H CHEERY O has been right there in all recent and has enough late speed to get it done. (4) MYSTERY RINGER has hit the board in over half his races last two years and his best could put him right in the picture. (9) VIEWLANDER need only get away clean and clear to put himself in position to be a threat.

Race 10

(1) BASILIO BLUE CHIP has the rail and a three race win streak. (2) MAJOR SPEED can stalk the speed to the lane and get lucky in the late scrum. (4) ROYAL CAM HALL was a well bet winner in last and just missed at odds-on three back.

Race 11

(1) SONICPEDIA has speed and the rail and will go as far as he can which looks like the winner's circle. (5) HAGITHA was game a game winner in last and a game third two back. Game could pay off tonight. (7) J F COOKIN has flashed good late speed in most recent and should be a serious threat in the lane.

Race 12

(5) HEARTACHES BLUES has been second best last two with front end tries. There seems to be little to no early speed inside of him so he could go that route again. (1) FEATURE MATCHUP was a late closing winner in last as the favorite. Faces slightly better but seems capable of putting a scare into the top one through the lane. (7) BILLY THE COLT was wide passing the third panel in qualifier and second best.

Race 13

(3) SINGIN BLUES fits well this level and has won two of last three. (2) ROMAN ROCKS has been tough in both outings off the qualifier winning last with uncovered effort. (5) BOILER BREEZE will be a late threat if he finds a seat on the rail.

Race 14

(3) RUFF STUFF JACKSON finished well in last and same effort makes him the one to beat. (5) VANISCAPE has flashed some late foot in last two and would be no surprise. (1) CANT SLAY ME has speed and the rail and should go well.

Race 15

(2) WORRIES STAY SMALL toured the track in last at 58-1 but finished with pace. (4) IM JUST CRUISIN got away well from post nine in latest and sat in with steady finish. Prior was a lame scratch so this one might be ready to step it up a notch after showing he can go the distance in last. (5) JP ORAZIO has done good work recently with Merriman in the bike and gets him back to face this well matched field.

Race 1

(2) MEGYN HOTSPUR makes her third start back off a layoff and had the look of a winner last out. (7) B C'S FANCY DANCER has been tremendously improved for a new barn; threat. (4) MAGIC NUMBER well-bred filly has lots of room to improve in her third lifetime start.


Race 2

(8) FOUR HOUR NAP dominated a softer bunch at Maywood last start and is one of few with upside in the race. (5) KITTY O'BRIEN is a model of consistency hitting the board in nine of eleven starts on the year. (3) CAMILLE ROSE has been sharp getting ground saving trips shaking loose late but is probably best used underneath.

Race 3

(3) MY MINI SNICKERS well-bred filly has the most talent in the field but is a risky play because the connections like to lag the gate a lot in this class. If the freshman trotter has her nose on the gate she probably wins for fun. (2) LIMA PIZZAZ filly faces a much softer bunch in her second lifetime start. (9) TINY PRANCER two-year-old makes her debut facing older but looks to have a ton of trotting ability.

Race 4

(5) CHILLINONADIRTROAD looks to have turned a corner and will be tough to beat with a similar effort to his last. (6) ARLO GRAM also raced much better last out showing good fight; threat. (1) DAVE'S ART gets the best post in an inconsistent field and has raced better on the big track.

Race 5

(6) ASHES N DUST owns a big burst of speed and is better than most of the field when right. (2) GALACTIC STAR was razor sharp in this barn and is always a threat at this level. (5) CAMWISER scored off the claim in a big effort and could have more to offer.

Race 6

(7) BOXED CHOCOLATES impeccably bred filly needed her last start and finds a field with few contenders. (5) GET THE TERROR filly doesn't have much to show for owning a big burst of speed but that could change against this bunch. (2) PARKLANE SPARKLE filly is probably the most talented in the race but can't seem to get over the hump; command a price.

Race 7

(9) RIDE SALLY paced a good mile at Hoosier before the break last start. The 4-year-old will offer a big price in a wide open field. (1) MY GIRL PIPPA filly has much more to offer than what she shows on paper and could be ready for an improved effort. (8) MEET ME TONIGHT Indiana bred filly has stepped her game up in her last two but looks to offer low value from a tough post.

Race 8

(2) WILFULLYSCOOTENEVA doesn't show it on paper but was ready to do some damage before being shuffled last out; big chance. (9) BABYSHOEBUYER has really come on strong in her last three efforts. (3) BLUE GEM is on the improve and just needs a smooth trip for a piece.

Race 9

(7) LD'S DASH gelding has put in a handful of winning efforts this year only to have bad racing luck. The pacer is deceptively sharp and should be flying out of the gate. (2) PUT TO THE TEST was a game winner at this level last out and looks to make it two straight. (3) DOTS BIGBOY nine-year-old makes his first start for new connections; threat.

He has a good opportunity in this race as handler, Corrales, has sharp win rate with horses going this distance. Has to be carefully examined based on the formidable speed figure recorded in the last contest. SOUPER FUNNY - Vaunts solid speed figures on average overall when measured up against the rest of this field. Must be considered based on the quite good speed fig put up in the last contest. SLEWISSURFING - Looks strong versus this group and will probably be one of the leaders. Runco has this gelding moving well and is a very good pick based on the respectable speed figures earned in sprint races recently.

DR MEGANN - She has earned very good figures under today's conditions and will almost certainly fare well against this group. Garcia has shown excellent profits (+20 return on investment ) with horses in dirt sprint events. MISS CHATTY CAT - Looks decent for the conditions of this contest today, showing solid figures in dirt sprint races recently. Short has a solid win percentage with horses running in dirt sprint races.

CUMBERLAND GAP - This colt hasn't had any recent good fortune in short distance races. Difficult to play him in this race. The seventh place result in the last event was not the greatest.

GO MARELIN GO - Looking at today's class figure, this thoroughbred is encountering an easier field than last time around the track at Suffolk Downs. This filly is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprinters that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. Has a decent opportunity to break maiden going over to the main track in this field. DAKOTA'S PICK - When a sprinter is back in a race less than 10 days after her last outing, it generally means she's fit. I think that the addition of the 'hood' today will keep her mind on the race at hand.

Vulnerable Contenders: #3 SPECTACULAR SILK (ML=2/1), #5 JAZZY GINGER BELLE (ML=5/2), #4 THE DARK LION (ML=3/1),

SPECTACULAR SILK - I cannot play this continual non-winner. Gets the task done once in a while. JAZZY GINGER BELLE - Never really did much at all last race out on July 14th. Hard to bet on in today's race. THE DARK LION - Should have at least finished in the money in the last two months in a short distance race to be worth a shot at short odds in a sprint. Finished seventh last time. Would have to advance to be on the board in today's race.

For you folks who are unfamiliar with New York State "geography" ... this race is named for a popular summer destination in about 30 miles north of Saratoga Springs, and the Lake George Stakes was first run in 1996. The race was run in two divisions in 1996, 1998 and 2001. Lake George itself, called the "Queen of American Lakes," was strategically crucial during the American Revolution because of its position on the Montreal to New York water route. Burgoyne's decision to bypass the lake's easy water route to the Hudson River and instead try to reach it through the forests and marshes at the southern end of Lake Champlain was a key component in the British defeat at Saratoga. Here in the 20th renewal of this grade stakes event ... #7 A LITTLE BIT SASSY has hit the board in "POWER RUN FASHION" in five straight, winning three times in this recent streak of racing consistency. ROSE RUN NASH - Starters win from this post at Monticello Raceway with better than average regularity, suggesting this excellent bet. Many selectors know speed is is such an important factor. This standardbred has credentials with a 82 average stat. BIG Z MIRANDA - If performance in the last race is representative, this horse will have a very great shot in here. High last race speed rating. The group happens to know that when you put Aldrich and Lounsbury together really good results are not far behind.
