thanks for starting this up already raiders

First idea was about OVER's in these late season NBA games, 5-1 overs yesterday (tuesday) in the nba. Is this is a consistent occurance that people have noticed from year to year (again i ask because this is my first real year of every day sports betting) Anyone see an angle here to make some $$?

2nd question - was wondering who some of u guys respected the most for capping baseball. I've been watching the baseball forum and have found some guys winning but with it being so early its hard to tell. The fact that i havent learned anything about capping baseball comes into play here... Another question about baseball - is there money to be made by fading consensus public plays like in basketball
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Dave- Super Scout was good but unfortunately he's gone. Jake and Dogball had good years last year. There are three prospects that I'm watching, Gotti, MFG and BZ. The way they post leads me to believe that winning's something new to them.
In basketball there were some decent cappers that weren't RR regulars such as Sixth Sense and Birdman to name two. It looks like it's too early to get a read on the baseball cappers. It would be nice to add a couple of strong baseball cappers to this thread.

Morris looked great last time out, another game we lost with 2 outs in the 9th. This time like Glavine I think he will be able to pick up the win. Also with the Brewers beating them handily on Tuesday this is the perfect bounce back game for the Cards. Almost played them on the run line but went ahead and bit the bullet at -197. Good luck today guys.

I have never been good at baseball but I view it like I do hockey when it comes to finding a good capper. First it is way to early to tell who is good, second I am looking for a capper who is betting no more then -135 on games consistently. Dogball if I remember correctly bet similar to that last year. Only thing that concerns me about dogball is last year it seemed like he road Oakland and Angels when both were on hot streaks, don't think favorites are going to do as well this year. We will see.

i also have been watching gotti and mfg, havent noticed BZ, will start watching. From the days i look, Gotti has been doing very well. He was actually the person i had in my mind when i asked this; uses the L word and what not but i dont care what words he uses if he keeps banging out 4-1 nights in baseball with the one loss being a -110

thanks for the responses raiders and jwunder

Yeah I think Dog and Jake would be two I would watch, I think they both know what they are doing. I wouldn't be sure enough about anyone else to say they are legit or not this early.

Also I wouldn't get too hung up on the chalk. I try not to get in a habit of it but from time to time will lay where ever there is value. I know people sometimes think value is restricted to stuff like +250 dogs but that is not true. If I started tonight for the Devil Rays the Yanks would have value at -400. Unless your bankroll is short I do not limit myself to only playing -140 and under or anything else. Doesn't make anyone else wrong, just my two cents. In fact I think when most are relatively new they do play too much chalk so maybe a blanket rule is a good idea at first. To a capper who is experienced enough to recognize value on either side of the line (-250/+250) that is another story IMO.

struggling here lately.

toronto +6.5 (both teams will try to lose this one, i guess, and raptors complete lineup plays for securing a job in the next season. the long term contract guys are all out.)

washington +7.5 (meaningless game. last one for M.J., and for philly, playing vs bos or nor makes no difference.

uta@sac un 194.5 (first round preview, i believe both coaches will ask for some conservative style of basketball today)

jwunderdog there is one at an other site that I follow most of the time, don't think URL's are allowed so just drop me an e-mail and I'll give you the site where he posts.....nothin over -130....mostly 1 unit plays.

Since it's still slow I'll ask this here. I was able to get my first two IMs. Now a mailbox is flashing on top of a yellow guy on the bottom of my screen telling my I have a IM but I can't get it. I click and double click it but just get my buddy list. How can I receive this IM?

guys..........word to the wise, if you want to follow someones picks...go with ONE (1) person...if you try to follow more than one persons picks.....you will likely lose in the long run..

following one person one day and another the next, creates too many variables...ive noticed each person has their own style of capping, some use flat betting, others use multiple units, some pick a handful of games, some seem to bet the board.

for instance if you were to bet all of

capper #1 and capper #2 picks........thats probably going to be to many games....and what if they are picking opposite sides of the same game? or capper #1 was able to get a team at -160, but you cant get down less than -180 what do you do then?

if you are going to make your wagers based entirely on another persons picks you have to follow them to a t, other wise its not gonna work........IMO
