Been an avid follower of this site for five years, not much posting at all, but have been helped by many people from this site so want to put my few cents in on tonights game. Ive lived in the city my whole life, and live 5 blocks from the stadium. Tonight is going to be absolutely freezing. Up to -20 with the wind chill, and it will be windy the whole game, so do the math. If you dont think this will have an effect on the game youre insane. I was at the saints/bears game recently on thursday night and had to go to the bathroom for heat and it was 40 degress warmer than tonight will be. The stadium is on the lake, and the winds are going to be a major factor. This o/u should be around 46-47 and i would normally pound the over. That being said this weather is unbearable and i dont know how these offenses get going in this. Im huge on the under, the cold is too much. 32 degrees would feel like maui right now. Its not just cold here guys.

Number is now low enough to hammer the over. Look at all the games that went over yesterday. It was miserable on the whole east coast.how did new england do yesterday in the blowing and drifting snow and then freezing rain.

There is cold, and then there is Chicago "why do i live here and put myself through this cold" you cant even go outside bud, and when the wind chill hits you want to commit suicide on the spot. Its negative 20 degrees bud, 32 degrees, the ACTUAL point of freezing, is 50 degrees warmer!!! Do you know what that feels like? It will play a factor without a doubt, im not even going to argue this, its science. No game this weekend had worse conditions, I dont even think a game this year was this cold. I heard on the local news last night that this may be the coldest game in bears history. and thats saying A lot

I don't know about those other "cold" games, but in Chicago, That's a different type of cold, especially coming off the lake. The Hawk is what some call it. It bites and having been in it, trust me, it's beyond the definition of cold. Fingers & toes doen't work, shit just shuts down on you. Not sure how offenses can function.

This game is an under game, I had a higher game & total forcasted, but with this kind of cold, I had about 35 or 36 points, I think 28 total points would be impressive in this cold. I just don't see with these temps offenses getting over 40 points. No way. 10 degrees is one thing, Wind Chill will kill you and while it may say the tempature is one thing, what it actually feels like is what matters. This ain't no KC/NE coldweather game. Hell, it's not even warm enough to snow.

thanks GEEK, perfectly said, some people just dont get it.

I've lived in some and been to some cold places. -40 to -50 below in Alaska where I used to live is "Warmer" than the zero degree Chicago weather with the windchill coming off the lake. Temp says one thing but what it feels like is different. Like places where they say it's a "dry heat". That was kind of like how Alaska was but the opposite. Now believe me, it's F'n Cold when temps fall that low. But it's dry and doesn't have the bite that the hawk has coming off the lake. With the windchill, just makes it F'n BITTER Cold.

it is much warmer than last night, but still very cold.

Weather.com says wind chill -7 to -9 throughout the game. Just got off the red line about an hour ago and wind didn't seen too bad.

I can't see this being a high scoring game either. It will probably be hard to throw and catch...and kicking a frozen ball won't help either.

Hell, if someone were to give my 50 yd line tx to tonight's game, i would turn them down. I'm from Texas, and I'm not used to this cold weather, but I don't even think locals can handle the temp right now.

My two cents

Global cooling.

I am going to go turn my cars on and start burning gas to heat the earth back up and keep the tree huggers happy.
