The things are very different.

Grown adults disrespecting a president online are just talking man. 8th grade kids refusing to meet the speaker in person is just rude. It's like the ND kids walking out on the commencement speech by Pence. It was rude. Talking about Pence being an asshole online is just banter.
Well being rude is not a crime. And I'm not sure that not wanting to have
your picture taken with Ryan can be classified as rude. I would much rather
see a kid make his/her own choice than be forced or brainwashed into doing
something like the singing video Joe posted.

In my world it's much ado about nothing. For crying out loud they're just kids
and someday they'll grow up.

These kids are awesome.

Refusing to toe the status quo line is a harbinger of Greatness as they head into adulthood.

Brings to mind the bravery called for by kids who refuse to recite the Pledge of Allegiance on command from school officials

Hell, little donnie has shown far more public disrespect for Paul Ryan than have any of these eighth graders. If you are inclined to smak on them, just consider the example being presented to them by POTUS these past four months

1) I didn't say it was a crime did I?

2) You honestly think it's their choice? They're kids.

This is squarely on the parents and likely the most culpable, the teachers. If there are 100 kids there, I'll bet that not two of them knew who Paul Ryan was a week ago. The teachers are spreading hate through the kids. It's disgraceful in my opinion.

Hate is not a healthy emotion. Respect for the office is healthy.

I CAN't STAND my senator, Elizabeth Warren, but I would never tell my kids to boycott a class photo with her. The kids have no informed opinion on the issues. They are being taught that division and hate is OK and, in this case, preferred. It's not. Do you hear me, Dems, it's not.

1. No you didn't but it appeared to me that it bothered you.
2. I was speaking in general terms not about that specific incident.

Anywho, I still don't think it was a big deal.
