I think it would be rather easy to commit a murder, and get away with it. It would have to be someone random, that has no association to you, not someone you'd have a reason to want killed.

Someone like a serial killer that preys on hookers often gets away with it.

You can't kill your boss, or the guy that raped your daughter or something like that. Of course there is no reason to kill this random person, so are a nut job if you do it.
