Watching ESPN, If Babe Ruth were playing ball today, would he be in jail?

One of those debate shows. The party said if Babe were playing today, he would be like a Dennis Rodman

The media wasn't as fast then. Was Babe that rough? Babes lifestyle would be fastly tracked today.

The Babe was a fat slob that played drunk and bragged about it.

So far as I can see, kind of like the D.Wells ho-hitter situation. He got hammered by the media, and so would Ruth. The only thing we like better than creating heroes is destroying them, just count the amount of threads dedicated to Kobe out on the RX today.

Ruth is only safe because a) he is dead and nobody blasts the dead that are not Nazis in the US and b) he got judged by other standards, where the media spotlight wasn't nearly as intense.
