ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Texas manager Ron Washington didn't want to get into specifics about how the Rangers would attack David Price in Game 5 tonight, but the lineup figures to be similar to Game 1.
"It will probably be almost the same lineup," Washington said. "I haven't decided what changes I'm going to make yet, but it will certainly be more or less the same."
If that's the case, you can expect by Jeff Francoeur to start. Francoeur hit an RBI double off David Price in the Rangers' 5-1 Game 1 victory.
The right fielder is looking forward to getting his second start of the series Tuesday.
"The moment we lost Game 4, I was preparing for tomorrow night," he said. "I love playing in these types of games."
Washington said Bengie Molina, who had a homer and two RBIs off Price in Game 1, would catch. One position that's still undecided is first base. Jorge Cantu went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts in the first game and hasn't started since.
Mitch Moreland has started the past three games against right-handed starters, and is hitting .182.
"I'm going to talk to [hitting coach] Clint [Hurdle] and see where we go with that," Washington said. "My heart wants to get Cantu in there. I've just got a feeling."
Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon said he was debating a couple of spots for his team's lineup against Cliff Lee.
"Our left-handed hitters really have not swung the bat often against left-handed pitching this year, although they did a nice job against Texas when I left them in there versus their bullpen," Maddon said.
Carl Crawford and Carlos Pena, two of Tampa's top left-handed hitters, combined to go 1 for 7 in Game 1. Crawford went 0 for 4 in Game 2 with Texas left-hander C.J. Wilson on the mound. Pena did not play.
